"Maybe if you returned the favor! "
"Yeah well, maybe if you weren't such an asshole" I spat.
"I cant stand you!" He said putting his head back in frustration, raising his arms up. "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!" he yelled.
" Stop pressuring me! I don't want to be with you!" the words rushed out cold as ice. I couldn't help it.
He stopped, taking a step back like he had been shot in the heart. I watched as his heart shatter through his eyes, I had been watching it crack more and more each time we were together. My best friend had fallen for me when he shouldn't have. I knew this was a mistake from the start.
"I hate you" he mumbled but I still heard every piercing word that came up from his cold broken heart, knowing it was true. This was the end.
"thanks" I spat and ran down the stairs not even bothering to put on my shoes. I grabbed them and swung open the door. Turning to the side just enough to see him standing at the top of the stairs like a statue.
"I... Good bye Alex"
