She pulled away hiding her face as blush took over. I chuckled and let her go. She made a few plates of stir fry and took them out to the table.

I sat down at the table and began to eat as she went and woke up Rakim.

Come eat baby. She said picking up his little body

He whined a little and she say him on her lap feeding him.

Ashlynn let him do it. I said

No. She said as he ate off her spoon

Ashlynn he's a boy and not a baby one. I said firmly

Fine. She said sitting him in his own seat

Ashlynn almost died of laughter.

He did as told and Ashlynn pulled him back on her lap.

I waved her off and finished eating.

After Eating
Room. Rakim said tugging at my pant leg

I cracked a smile and picked him up jogging to his room flicking on the light. I let him run wild as I sat in the chair watching him play.

I picked my ringing phone out my pocket and answered it before I looked at the caller ID.

I'm not about to let you and your loose ass mess up my relationship. I love my wife and my son dammit and your just gonna deal with that shit because it ain't changing.

I looked at the phone and shook all the sinister thoughts out of my head.

I heard laughing from behind me and I snapped my neck toward Ashlynn.

I patted my lap and she shook her head then pointed to Rakim.

I patted my lap harder and she rolled her eyes walking over.

They gonna get stuck like that. I said as she sat down

She mushed my face and sat back against my chest.

I missed this. I whispered against her ear

I heard her light giggle.

So you think I can have my family back now? I asked connecting eyes with her

She blew up her cheeks looking as if she was deep in thought.

I cracked a sheepish smile as a light coat of blush flushed over my dark cheeks.

A wave of guilt flew through my body as she said "deserve" I didn't deserve it at all. As soon as she left I moped yes... But I soon went back to my old ways. I began to mess with Deja again. I didn't deserve it then but as I thought about it....that was my past and I'm a much better me today than I was then and I'm damn sure proud of myself.
