"He's beautiful Tris," he tells me, kissing me passionately. Another cry breaks us apart.

"And here's your girl!"

She's crying too, and I join her. Both my babies are ok.

Tobias leaves and comes back a few minutes later while the doctors stitch me up.

"She's perfect Tris. They're both so beautiful," he says, crying a bit. "I love you so much."

"I love you too. Thank you for making me a mommy again," I cry.

"Thank you for carrying my children and making me a daddy again," he hugs me gently, then kisses me softly.

I feel them starting to pull my skin back together again, and ask Tobias, "When can I see them?"

"As soon as they're finished with you," he answers, smiling.

"They're healthy?" I ask, making sure.

"Yes Tris. Very healthy."

I smile.

"I love you," I tell him again after a few minutes.

"I love you too Tris."

"Four?" A nurse calls.

"Yes?" He answers.

"Do you want to carry your babies to their mommy? We're all done."

"Umm, c-can you just bring them to her please?" He answers hesitantly.

"Sure..."

A moment later I get a glimpse of a blue blanket. My baby boy.

The nurse hands him to me and start to cry.

"Oh, Tobias, he looks just like you," I tell him, beaming.

"He does look like me doesn't he?" Tobias asks, smiling.

A minute later I'm handed my baby girl.

"Aww, Tailynn," I coo.

"Tris, she looks like you. She's beautiful." Tobias says.

I smile.

I'm holding both of my children in my arms. My healthy children.

The nurses start rolling my bed back to my original room. Once we get there, the nurses tell me where everything is, including two clear, open container looking things are for the babies to sleep in.

When they leave, I yawn.

"Tobias?"

"Yeah Tris?" He asks.

"Could you take them to their crib things?" I yawn again.

He's silent for a few seconds before stuttering, "Uh-um... I'll just--I'll just bring the beds to you."

He walks over to the cribs and rolls them to my bed.

"Umm...ok, here's Trevor," I gesture for him to pick up our son.

"Tris..."

"Tobias, can you just put him in his bed please?" I ask, getting moody.

"Tris, I can't. I can't do it," he whispers.

"Why? Tobias seriously--" then it hits me. Last time he held a child--well, our child--he died in his arms. "Oh, Tobias," I say sadly. "We already agreed that it wasn't your fault. It would've happened anyway."

"Tris," he tears up, "I can't. I can't let it happen again. I wouldn't be able to live with myself."

I sigh. "Can you help me sit up then?"

He walks to my bed side and puts a hand on my back, gently pushing me up.

I suck in a sharp breath.

"I'm sorry Tris," he apologizes.

I put Trevor in his bed, then Tailynn.

"Sleep," he tells me.

"Ok," I say, shutting my eyes.

"I love you Tris."

"Love you too."
