The rain continued to fall rapidly as I dropped my long forgotten umbrella.

~Flashback 10 years ago~

" Ne ne Alibaba! "  The 5 year old girl  grinned cheekily. " Huh? What is it (Y/N)-chan? " Hey, promise me..." She said looking down flustered. " Promise you what? " The 8 year old alibaba asked. " T-that when we grow up.. We'll marry each other! " She exclaimed loudly as her face turned red from embarassment. " HUH?!? O-ok! I promise that I'll only be yours until the moment I die... " Alibaba yells out, just as flustered." Yay! I promise I'll only be yours too!!! " The young girl grinned, hugging him tightly. The male's eyes softened, giving her a warm smile, before returning the hug.

~End of flashback~

I should have known. Ever since that day.. That day, everything seemingly started to fall appart..

~ flashback ~

~3rd person pov~

" Alibaba!!! Hurry up!!!  " The 10 year old girl exclaimed. " Hold on!! (Y/N)!!! Be careful!  " 13 year old alibaba exclaimed rushing after the young girl he loved. " Haha~! You're so slow Alibaba!! " She grinned, chuckling at the poor exhausted male.

She then bumped into a stunning young girl, causing them both to fall to the ground.. " S-sorry miss!! I'm so sorry! " She cried out to the girl she had bumped into. " (Y/N)! I told you to be careful! " Alibaba exclaimed. " Hey miss are you alrig- " He then stopped as he looked into her gorgeous brown orbs. He gaped at the stunning female who seemed to be around his age. " It's alright. No biggie! " She smiled at him as he blushed, feeling his heartbeat quicken... (Y/N) stared at them cluelessly, as she tilted her head to the side. Oh how clueless she eas on how this marked the day when everything would change.

" Alibaba..."

"Mixina!"

It was so obvious that you had feelings for her.. But why, why did we have to encounter her? Why does fate hate me so much... Why did she have to enter our lives..? Why..?

~flashback~

" Hey (Y/N)! " Alibaba exclaimed. " Oh what's up? Ready for our hang out? " The 11 year old girl asked grinning. " Yeah and I invited Mixina over to hang out with us too! " He said , his cheeks turning pink.  ( Y/N ) felt her smile fading. " Oh. Sorry, but I thought this was our special day?  " She asked, feeling a tad bit annoyed. " Oh come on! We can get to know Mixina! She can be our best friend! We can be like a trio! " He encouraged pleedingly. " You mean YOU want to know her, so you guys can be a DUO " She whispered. " Yeah sure! Good enough!" She then said, faking a smile. " GREAT! I ALREADY CALLED HER! " He said grinning widely.

" Yeah... How fun.... "

I should have said no.. I should have tried to stop you.. But it's too late now, isn't it..? I can't change the past.

~ Flashback ~

~ Your pov~

" (Y/N) !!!!! Heyyy guess what?!?! THIS IS LIKE THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE! " 16 year old Alibaba exclaimed, while Aladdin looked at me sadly. He's been there for me when Alibaba couldn't. I told him EVERYTHING, including the promise Alibaba and I had made. I would cry numerous times, and he didn't find much trouble finding out who the cause of my sadness was.

" Huh? What is it? You seem excited dork! " I smiled. " Mixina and I are now dating! " Alibaba smiled happily. I loved his smile. I knew though, that that smile wasn't for me... It was for her..... " W-whatttt? No wayyy! " I managed to utter in a fake cheery tone. " I know right! I still can't seem to believe it myself! " He laughed with a huge smile. " Hey I gotta go. I promised to watch a movie with her! See you later Shortie! " He smiled running off. Aladdin shot me a look of sympathy, as if to quietly tell me that it was going to be okay.

" But you promised..... " I managed to whisper.

Why.. Why Why Why.? Was there anything I could have done to change this?

~flash back 4 hours ago ~

" Hey.. You know what? I should invite Mixina to our hangout this saturd- " I cut Alibaba off... I was pushed to my limit.  I cant hold it in anymore. I'ts been eating me up. I just can't take this! "Just stop! Alright?? Alibaba, I'm done with you! If you want to see her so badly, then why not just go see her and leave me hanging? It's not like I'll be new to you ditching me! " I scoffed, standing up and slamming my fists onto the table. " Hey! Chill (Y/N)! Mixina just doesn't trust me with you. I mean we're really close and she feels like I'm going to leave her for you! So what's your problem?" He shrugged, shooting me an irritated look.

" You! You're my problem! " I cried. " You broke our promise.. " " Hey! Calm down! What promise? If you were talking about the one we made when we were kids, then that was just a joke! " He said shrugging it off..

" YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH IT MEANT TO ME!! " I yelled. " Why would it mean so much to you anyway? " He asked.

" How could you be so stupid?! I LOVE YOU ALIBABA! " I cried out, tears pouring out... " I'm sorry... But I don't feel the same anymore. I love Mixina. " He said, giving me a pity filled smile. I stood there flabbergasted. What have I done.. I knew he would say that. Why? Why did all that pour out!

" You know what hurts so much? " I asked as I opened the door, feeling his eyes gazing at my turned body.

" That you would trade your childhood best friend for a girlfriend.... "

The scene before me made me want to scream so loud...

I heard what he said to Mixina....

He said, " I would trade anyone for you... And I would do absolutely anything if its for you... Even if it means leaving my best friend."

Haha yeah... Life....

Although I'm aware of how cruel life is.. I can't help but wonder, could I have done anything to change this outcome..? Or was I already set to be hurt from the start... If so, I guess life just seems to enjoy my pain, huh?
