"Girls football sign ups are on Thursday, don't forget to sign up to get a tryout time. And stop by the office to get a physical that you will need to sign up..." I heard Uncle Harry say over the announcements.
Maybe I should sign up. It seems like it would be fun. And Uncle Louis has made me play all my life with him in the backyard.
"Are you doing football?" I asked Jack, looking over at him.
"Yeah, are you planning on it?" He asked, looking a little worried. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Yeah... Why do you have that look in your face?" I asked. He shrugged.
"Girls football can be intense. I don't want you getting hurt." He said, sighing.
"Jack... It's my decision to make." I said slowly.
"I know it is. I'm just worried about you." He said.
"I'll be fine." I said, reassuring him.
"Okay." He said. We listened to the rest of the announcements and then class started.
That was a long announcement.
I looked over and saw Micheal staring at me.
"What?" I asked, looking at him.
"Why doesn't he want you to play?" He asked.
"He's just protective. Just like you." I said. He nodded.
After school I said goodbye to Micheal and went to Jacks locker.
"What's up?" I asked, watching him grab his jacket and put it on.
"Nothing." He said. I opened my arms, and he chuckled but hugged me.
Man.. I miss hugging him. With Micheal around all the time, it's hard to hug him.
Or do anything with him really.
"I miss this." I said. I felt him nod.
"Me too. We need to hang out soon." He said. I nodded.
"Maybe we could work on the group project together at my house or something." I said, knowing what was going to happen.
"I don't really want Luke at your house." He said. "And would your Dad really let two boys over?"
"That's true. I never thought of that." I said.
"Maybe we could just go to the park or something." Jack said.
"Yeah, that works." I said, pulling away from the long hug.
"Okay." He said, leaning down.
I looked around and saw nobody in the halls, and I leaned up and kissed him.
We pulled away and I smiled at him.
"Bye." I said, kissing his cheek.
"Bye, love." He said, smiling at me.
I went to the office and saw Uncle Harry just about to leave.
"Hey, Mary." I said, walking over to the secretary that loves me.
"Hello, darling." She said. She's such a sweet old lady.
"Can I have to physical for soccer?" I asked. She nodded and handed me a paper.
"There you go." She said. I smiled at him.
"Thank you." I said, walking over to Uncle Harry who is closing and locking his door.
