Prologue

A playful smile grazed the lips of the dark-haired girl who walked confidently towards the Cyber Police headquarters. Her dark turtleneck shirt and cap covered most of her face, rendering her unrecognizable to anyone who saw her. Being nothing against the current trend of fashion, her appearance was not seen as suspicious.

"Oba-san, here are the pictures," she said, eyeing the surveillance cameras outside the headquarters.

"Just a minute...and done," came a voice from the small, almost-hidden earpiece she wore. Her smile widened at that.

Her grey eyes scanned everything around her through the clear glasses, taking in every detail of the headquarters, no longer concerned about the surveillance cameras that had been hacked and distracted away from her. Her slender fingers occasionally touched the tiny buttons on the frame of her glasses to take pictures of the staff, the rooms inside the building and documents on the racks, and the other surveillance cameras to send them to her partner. Her partner in return, hacked into every camera and gathered necessary information for the young woman to get through unnoticed.

Pulling her cap down to cover her face more, she passed by some men as she stepped towards the ladies room. The minute the guards had passed, she spun on her heels to enter the janitor's room. Putting on a spare uniform that was slightly big for her, along with a police hat, she was out to look for her target.

Maneuvering through the building with none finding her suspicious was easy for her, having done it so many times and in so many places. It wasn't until she reached the second floor that she scanned the office cubicles behind clear-glass walls. She paused at one point, shuffling back a little and smirking slightly at the sight of her target.

"Bingo," she mumbled.

With a tap on one of the buttons of her glasses, sensory signals scanned the man's face and matched it with his picture at the corner of her glasses' display. With confirmation taken care of, the girl narrowed her eyes slightly. They glowed a moment and air around her thickened. It was barely a moment after she had placed her hand on the glass that hell broke loose, and people were scuttling about in mild panic.

But the girl was already gone without a trace, her mission accomplished.
