Chapter 12- Advices and a new/old friend

"I'm falling in love... with Emma" I confessed. "HA, I knew it". I made a confused look, "How do you know?".
"Andrew, I'm not blind. I see the way you look at her! Dude, your eyes shine" I smiled. "Is it too obvious?" He nodded.

"But tell me, how can I help you?" Edward asked. "Well, I don't know if she feels the same for me!". "That's what we have to figure out". "Yeah and... We kissed last night" His draw dropped. "Whaaat?? Oh my god" He end up laughing "How was it?"

"Well, she was about to fall, I grabbed her arm. Our mouths were inches away and I couldn't help but kiss her", "She kissed you back?". "Yeah, and it was the best feeling ever!! Her mouth tastes so good... It's like strawberry and She is a really really good kisser".

"Andrew" He said "Yeah?". "You're not falling in love!" I looked at him confused "You're already in love"

What? Am I in love?. Edward noticed my pensative look. "Andrew, the way look at her, the way you talk about her..." I put my hands on my face "Fuck! I'm in love again..." Edward chuckled "You can't help it! It just happens". He's right, love is unexpected. It just happens.

"Yeah, but I don't think Emma feels the same! I mean, she might likes me, but not love me! Love is a really strong word" I said. "I think she likes you, but as you said, love is a strong word". "Yeah..."

"What should I do, Ed?" He thought for a moment. "I think you should wait! Emma is heartbroken, maybe she doesn't want to get in a relationship now!". Edward is right. Emma is heartbroken, like I was when Melanie cheated on me. I was hurt for 2 years, but now I moved on.

"I'll wait for her! Do you think I should tell her about my feelings?". "Yes, I think you should! But not now, wait a little bit" I nodded

Edward ordered some drinks. I saw two familiar faces getting in the snack bar.

Emma and Alex

What??? Why are they together???

"Ed, look back" He did it and looked back at me. "Whaaat? Emma and Alex Johnson??"

Emma's eyes met mines. They came towards us. "Hey Garfield" Alex said and we did a high-five. "Hi Em" I said "Hi Andrew" She smiled back. "So what are you guys doing here?" Edward asked. "Oh, we're just hanging out" Alex said and Emma nodded. "What about you two?" She asked. "Same! J-just hanging out" I replied. "Right"

"Let's take our milkshakes, Em?" Alex asked. Whaaat?? I'm the only one who calls her Em! "Sure" She smiled. You won't say anything?? I'm disappointed. They excused themselves and left.

"You should keep your eye on Alex" Edward said "Why?". "Because Emma always had a crush on him before she dates Scott" Fuck. My love life is getting even more complicated. "Do you think he likes her?" I asked "I guess so..." I can't let these two be together.

I spent 20 minutes looking at them. Sometimes they laughed, or just talked. Thank god, they aren't flirting.

Emma stood up and went towards the toilet. I quickly stood and followed her.

Before she gets at in the girl's toilet, I grabbed her waist and faced her. "Fuck Andrew, you scared me!! You jerk!" I laughed. "Sorry". "This is not funny, you really scared me" I can't stop laughing. "Andrew, stop laughing" She said "I-I can't!! Y-your face was so f-funny" She ended up laughing too. "Fuck you Andrew" Emma said between laughs.

When we finally stopped, she looked at me serious. "But tell me, why you followed me?" I chuckled. "Because I want to take you to another place" She raised her eyebrow "Where do you want to take me?". "Surprise". "I can't go! I'm with Alex!". "Fuck Alex! Come with me!"

"Andrew, I can't". "You can, tell Alex you have to go home now", "Garfy I-", "Shut up and do what I said" She sighed "Fine" I smiled.

"I'll be outside waiting for you" I said and she nodded. I went to my table. "Hey Ed, I gotta go! Thanks for everything!" He nodded "No problem, if you need something, is just call me" I nodded.

I signed to Emma saying that I'm outside and she discreetly nodded. I leaned in my car waiting for her.

After some minutes, she went outside. I opened the door for her. "I might regret of what I'm doing" She mumbled "Trust me, you wont"

I parked my car.

"Wow, this place is so beautiful" She said. I brought her to the edge of the river. I parked my car in the sand. "Yeah it is" I sat on the hood and she joined me. We just stand there looking at the sunset.

"So, you and Alex were...on a date?" She shook her head. "No, we were just hanging out... as friends! Like what we're doing now" She replied. I faked a smile when she metioned that we're hanging out as friends. "Right"

"What about you and Edward? Were on a date?" She teased "Shut up" I laughed "Just kidding", "We were just talking! I needed to talk to someone... A friend"

"You know I'm your friend, right? And you can talk to me when you're having...problems" Emma said "I know, but this subject I prefer to talk to a guy friend" I said "Oh, right" She chuckled. "What about Daniel? He is your friend and a guy"

"Well, Daniel is my 'brother' and I prefer not to tell him", "What is going on?" She asked "You'll know... soon" She nodded

We spent an hour there. Laughing, talking, teasing...

"You're so beautiful" I said. She blushed and looked at me. I leaned my head towards her. Our lips were inches away when... she pulled away. "W-we should go home now, it's getting late" She said and I nodded desappointed.

The ride back home was silent, awkward... When we finally got home, she immediately get inside. I grabbed her arm. "I-I'm sorry!" I said, "Sorry? For what?", "You know, Em" She stayed in silence.

"It's okay! I'll take a shower. And thanks for  today, I had fun" Emma said and I smiled. "No problem"

With that, she went upstairs.
