Chapter 159

"Yo, Charise, get up!"

I let my eyes flutter open, looked to my left, and Blake was looking down at me, grinning like an asshole. Why can't he wake me up like a normal husband?

"Why are you always sleeping?" he asked, sitting by my foot, "when we were dating, I couldn't get you to go to sleep at all."

"Maybe all those years of not sleeping has finally caught up with me."

I tried to go back to sleep, but something squealed in my ear. I turned to my left, and Brielle was lying beside me, trying to put her foot in her mouth.

"What is she doing in here?" I asked, lying on my side, facing her.

"She was already up when I went to check on her, so I brought her in here so she wouldn't be bored," Blake said.

He tried to put her foot down, but she just tried to put it back in her mouth.

"She is clearly having a good time with her foot. I don't think she would've been bored," I said, laying my head back down.

"Babe, get up!"

When I refused to get up, he decided to lay on top of me, putting all of his weight on me.

"Blake, get off of me," I struggled to say.

"I'll get off you when you get up."

"Alright, I'm up."

He laughed at my aggravated tone and got up, but not completely.

"You're so damn aggravating."

"I know." He kissed along my jawline, and I smiled a little. "But you love it."

He laughed again and laid his head on my chest.

"You know you have all the kids today, right?" he asked, "and Kayla's coming over."

"How could I forget?" I said, running my fingers through his hair, "she called me yesterday to remind me."

"Good," he said, getting up, "now get up. She's gonna be here soon."

I playfully pouted as he yanked the covers off my body, which caused Brielle to giggle.

"Blake, carry me to the bathroom," I says, raising my arms like a child, "please?"

He scooped me up and carried me to the bathroom so I could brush my teeth. When I finished, I went back in the bedroom, and Brielle was staring at the ceiling while chewing on her fist and kicking her feet.

She looked at me and smiled, then started babbling. She rolled onto her stomach and tried to crawl to the edge of the bed, but I grabbed her.

Lately, she's been babbling more, she can roll on her stomach, and she just started crawling; it makes life so much more interesting.

"Babe, we gotta start baby-proofing the house," I said, sitting Brielle in his lap.

"Alright. We can do it next weekend."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "why can't we do it this weekend?"

He stood up and gave Brielle back to me. There he goes again being weird.

"Because I'm doing something this weekend."

"Doing what?" I asked skeptically, "you didn't tell me you were doing anything."
