chapter 1: moving

Hi! I'm Sarah. I'm 12 years old, I'm about 5'2, I have brown hair brown eyes, I live in New York and I want to be a singer one day. Singing is my passion, I've always wanted to be a famous singer, but I guess thats everyone's dream.

I grab my phone before skipping into the kitchen. "Happy birthday honey" my mom says kissing my forehead. "Thanks mom" I say grabbing a waffle from the freezer and popping it into the toaster.

I can't believe I turn 13 today! "Happy birthday Sarah" my dad says with a cup of coffee in his hand. "Thanks dad" I say before grabbing my waffle from the toaster. I bite into it before sitting on the couch and opening up netflix. Oh yeah we are off for christmas break so, I dont have school.

"Hey Jax" I say as my little brother sits on the couch beside me. "Happy birthday sissy" he says before hugging me. Jackson also known as 'Jax' is my 2 year old brother, he's really cute. Jax has blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Lucas get your butt down here! Your sister is opening her gifts" my mom screams. My older brother Luke stands on the top of the stairs in only long pants as he rubs his eyes. Luke is 16, hes about 5'7, he has brown hair and blue eyes. As you can tell I'm the only girl.

"I'll go get your gift" Luke says going back into his room. We hear a bunch of movement before he comes down the stairs with a smaller sized box. He places the box on the floor before I open the moving box, which I must point out it scared me. An adorable golden retriever puppy with a bandanna around its neck pops out at me (pic in beginning). "no way" I squeal picking up the puppy as it licks my face. "Names?" my mom asks. "Noel, she looks like a Noel" I smile. "Noeyyy" Jax says not knowing how to pronouce it.

Jax sits down next to me as Noel licks his whole faces as he giggles. Noel sits on my lap as I open my final gift. its in a envolope. I tear it open to see,

Congratulations you've been accepted into BH music and entertainment school! Looking foward to seeing you on January 6th in our Los Angeles building.

"Whaaaaat? How did i? I've always wanted to go here! Mom! Dad! It's in california!" I say the so many questions filling my mind. "Slow down sarah, we are moving to California after Christmas day so you can go to this school" my mom says.

after christmas? thats in a week!

"Thank you so everyone, this is the best birthday ever" I say almost in tears. I hug my parents first before hugging Luke than Jax. "Can we go get stuff for Noel? ill pay for it myself" I smile. "You dont have to do that, we bought you the dog we can buy what she needs" my dad smiles as I hug him again.

I help Jax into his car seat before my parents Jax and I head to the pet store.

I pick out a pink harness and a matching leash. A large black crate and a light purple bed. I also get puppy food, toys and bowls before we leave the store.

"Hey sarah could you put Jax down for his nap" my mom asks. "sure" I say grabbing Jax's hand and walking up the steps with Noel under my other arm. I set down all of Noel's stuff along with her in my bedroom before walking next to my room to Jackson's.

I pick him up before placing him into his bed with rails so he won't fall out. Jax and I are close so if he gets up in the middle of the night he will usually come in my room not Lukes or my parents. I tell Jax a story about a puppy but before I'm even finished he's asleep.

I silently get up before walking in my room. "Hi Noel" I say before playing with the toy thats in her mouth. She gets tired and sits in her new bed before falling asleep. Ok then. I place everything of hers neatly around my room before I start to pack.

I can't wait to move to california!
