Sorry for the shortness of the chapter :p The picture in the sidebar has nothing to do with this chapter it's just a photoshop I made :) K here it is.
***Niall and Evy are still in primary school, they are in 4th class, and are both about ten years old.
“Shut up! You're mean! You can't say that about her!” Niall folded his arms in front of himself.
A boy at school just told me that I was annoying, and weird. It really hurt. It was the first time anyone has ever really said something mean to me. Niall was there when he said it and started getting mad at Kyle, the mean boy.
“I'm just telling it like it is. The truth! She's weird. She doesn't hang out with anyone but you, and you're weird too because you don't hang out with any lads!” The boy fought back.
“So?!?” Niall raised his voice. “Still doesn't give you the right to call Evy weird!” Niall spat.
“Fine, she's odd. Ugly? Fat?” Kyle sneered. Other boys began laughing.
“At least she doesn't have an ugly mole growing on her cheek.” Kyle had a large spot on his face that never went away, and he was always insecure about it.
“What did you just say?” Kyle glared at Niall.
“You know what I said.” Niall smiled.
Just when Niall turned around to look at me, and laugh or give me a thumbs up to make sure I was okay, Kyle pounced. He jumped on Niall and started hitting him. Niall wrestled him to the other side, and hit back. All the other students began to gather around chanting “fight, fight, fight!”. Where was the teacher? I looked around. No one.
“Niall!” I yelled. “Break it up!” I went in and tried to split them up. “Stop!” I screamed, grabbing Niall around the shoulders.
He felt me around him, and quickly stopped. He was shaking, and so was Kyle.
“You ok Niall?” I whispered.
“I'm fine.” He answered.
“C'mon lets go,” Kyle waved to his friends to leave.
The followed Kyle, and just me and Niall were left.
“Thanks.” I said.
“No problem.” Niall said smiling. “You're not ugly, or fat, or weird Ev. He's just being a freak.” Niall shook his head.
“Thanks.” I laughed. “We should probably get to class, we're already late for lecture.” I said looking at the clock on the wall.
“Oh yeah, right.” We grabbed our books and began walking to the classroom. “I can't believe he would say all that stuff about you. You are definitely not ugly, or weird, or fat...” Niall paused, hinting at a smile. “I wouldn't completely disagree on the annoying part though-”
“You suck Niall!” I laughed, shoving him playfully.
“It's ok, I'll still love you even if you are annoying.” He giggled.
I went to charge at him, but he grabbed me and put me in a headlock.
“Niall let go!” I flailed my arms around him, and I couldn't help but laugh.
“Hmmmm, not until you tell me how much you loooovvveeee me, and that I'm the bestest friend you've ever had, and that I'm amazing, and funny, and handsome, and-”
“Shutup and let me go,” I tried breaking free.
“Say it! Say you love me! Say I'm the bestest friend you've every had,-”
“You're the only friend I've ever had....sadly...” I joked.
“I heard that! Just say it, its only a few simple words.” I could feel his crooked smile behind me.
“Fine!” I huffed. “I looooovvvee youuu, and you're the bestest friend I have EVER had, and you're amazing! And funny! And of course soooo handsommee.” I exaggerated the whole thing, but he finally released my head from his grip.
“Good. Now we can finally get to class. You were making us late.” He smiled, tapping me in the arm with a pencil.
I rolled my eyes. “You're the annoying one, honestly.” I mumbled, but I knew he heard me.
He just smiled, and narrowed his eyes at me before entering the classroom. We both got in trouble for being late, and Niall had to stay after school because Kyle told the teacher about the fight. Niall glared at Kyle before sitting in the seat next to me. I could not wait to be done with school.
