"Welcome to Beilla. My name is Jake. How is your day?" Asked the waiter nicely.

"It was good but tiring in the same time, thanks for asking." Answered Kazuha smiling to the waiter.

"Good. Let me tell you about our specials today. We have a miso-glazed Chilean Sea Bass with a side of mashed sweet potatoes and sautéed spinach. So, what's your orders?"

"I would like a small pizza margarita, please." Said Kazuha politely.
"And I would like, the specials, please." Said Heiji.

The waiter finished writing what they ordered and then turned to them again.

"Can I get you something to drink?"

"I'll take an orange Fanta." Said Kazuha.

"And for you sir?" The waiter asked Heiji.
"Pepsi."

"I'll be right back with your drinks." The waiter said smiling as he was leaving. Heiji and Kazuha smiled back.

After the waiter went to get the drinks, Heiji and Kazuha just sat quietly, not even one word. Heiji was staring at Kazuha with a smirk on his face and Kazuha was looking at her lap, uncomfortable by Heiji's look.

"So..? Tell me about yourself." Heiji said after a long silence.

Kazuha looked up at him, with a slight shock. Tell him about herself? Why would she tell about herself to him?

"Why would I tell you about myself?" Kazuha said slightly annoyed.

"What's wrong with that? I just want to get to know you more." Heiji said trying to sound innocent.

"I don't want you to get to know me more." Kazuha said cold hearted.

What does he mean he by he wants to get to know me more? There's no way in hell I'll tell that Hattori Baka about myself! Especially after he annoyed the hell out of me theses days.

After a minute of deafening silence, Heiji saw the waiter coming toward them, holding a tray that had there drinks on them with glass cups. The waiter put the cups in the table then opened the Fanta ready to pour it to the cup but Kazuha stopped him.
"There's no need to do that, I don't like drinking from cups anyways." Kazuha said laughing nervously. The waiter and Heiji gave her a weird look, but they shrugged it off. The waiter took Kazuha's cup away and poured for Heiji's drink to the cup and gave both Heiji and Kazuha straws, then off he went.

Heiji and Kazuha tore the paper that was wrapping the straw and they put it on there drinks.

Heiji kept silent, drinking his pepsi with the straw. He didn't say anything at all, which was weird since he was the one who always kept blabbering and annoying Kazuha. Maybe I was harsh, I mean he's treating me to dinner to apologize. Great! Now I feel bad! Kazuha thought.

Kazuha looked at Heiji, who seemed to be enjoying his drink, but he looked uncomfortable. Ugh!
"Are you mad at me?"Kazuha suddenly blurted out.

Heiji turned to look at her, and looked a bit shocked.

"Why would I be?" Heiji asked confused from her sudden question.

"N...nothing."

A while later, the food came and Heiji and Kazuha didn't even wait for the waiter to go, they started eating right away, they were so tired and hungry. After ten minutes both plates were empty and Heiji's drink too, but Kazuha's drink was half full.

Heiji couldn't wait for her to finish her drink so he paid the bill and then they went to a park near by and sat on the bench.

Both Kazuha's hands were on her Fanta can and she was sucking on her straw, drinking her Fanta. Meanwhile Heiji was sitting there, his left hand resting on top of the bench, nearly on Kazuha's shoulder, and the other one on his lap. He took out his phone to check the time. "Oh, it's already 9:30 pm." Heiji said.
"Yeah." Kazuha answered.
"Aren't your parents gonna worry?"

Kazuha looked down after Heiji asked his question. Her dad died last year in America which was why she came here, to Japan, to forget about her dark past. Her dad died because he was alcoholic, which was because Kazuha's mother died. Kazuha now lives in her grandmother's house. But still, her grandmother was sick and always on her bed.

Kazuha started tearing up remembering everything that happened to her family.

Heiji's eyes became wide as he saw her tear up. He didn't want to hurt her. Jeez, he came here as an apology and then he makes her cry?

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." Heiji said. He really didn't wasn't to hurt her. He felt like beating the hell out of himself.

"It's not your fault." Kazuha said wiping her tears with the back of her hand. "I'm being sensitive, I'm supposed to get used to it."

Now Heiji was even more confused than before. What did she mean she's supposed to get used to it? Being sensitive about what? He didn't want to annoy her by these questions so he didn't bother asking them, but Kazuha seemed to read his mind,

"My mom died when I was 12 years old, and since my moms death my dad started drinking, every day, every second of his life. Until last year, my dad died due to some sickness from the alcohol, which is why I'm here. I live with my grandmother, but she's always in bed, she's sick, she has chest cancer. And she's gonna die after two months." Kazuha started crying but harder this time, "I'm gonna be alone! Again! I won't have anyone!" Kazuha sobbed loudly, not bothering to spill her drink, but Heiji caught it and put it aside, and then he hugged Kazuha tenderly, pulling her head to his strong chest, stroking her hair softly, comforting her. He never knew her life was that hard, he felt sorry for her.

After 15 minutes Kazuha's sobs lessened and lessened until she completely stopped. She looked up at him and said to him,
"Thank you."
"Don't thank me for that."
Kazuha only looked at him. Looked into his sea green eyes that had concern in them.

Heiji got up and held Kazuha's hand and pulled her towards his motorcycle.

"Where do you live, Toyama?" Heiji asked as he put his helmet on.

When she told him her address, Heiji has a surprised and an amused look on his face.

"What a coincidence? You live in my neighborhood."  Heiji said with a smirk on his face.

"Abou. And by the way call me Kazuha, I hate people calling me by my last name."

(In front of Kazuha's home)

Kazuha got off the motorcycle taking off her helmet and handing it over to Heiji.

Kazuah took a deep breathe then said, "I accept your apology, but only because the pizza tasted  good."

Heiji chuckled and said, "Don't I get a hug or a kiss?"

Kazuha sent him a glare, "You wish."

Heiji only smirked and said, "Well, I got to go. Kazuha." He winked as he said her name.

"Whatever, bye Hattori."

"It's Heiji." Heiji corrected her then he went off with his motorcycle.

Kazuha opened her front door, went to her grandmother's room and greeted her, then went to her bedroom and closed the door behind her.

Maybe Heiji isn't that bad. Kazuha thought.
