A/N: So I was gonna do really graphic torture, but I don't think you guys could forgive me if I put Loki through too much. Plus, I don't relish the idea of Loki being in pain.

Loki's POV:

It wasn't so bad, Loki mused, as long as he had his memories.

The ones he'd had with Savannah. When she'd made him laugh, or teased him, her breathtaking beauty, and the way his heart sang when she opened up to him, those were what kept him sane. What gave him hope. And, for each day that he was away from Savannah, his love for her grew, until it ached.

Until the only thing he could feel wasn't the sting of the whip, or the burn of the coals, or the searing of the acid, just the imagined feel of her in his arms. And when he cried silently at night, it wasn't because his ribs were piercing a lung, so he could barely breathe, it was because he had regrets.

He regretted that he hadn't held her tighter, that he hadn't confessed his love sooner. But mostly, he regretted not being there to see her face. The Allfather had teleported him away as soon as he had told Savannah, and he doubted that he would ever see her again. But there was a hope that he would, and that kept him going.

Each night he would dream of her, and each day, he fought to stay alive, if only to see her smile again.
