Chapter 10-Acid & Death
I hissed and screamed in pain as Harper took off my hood exposing my face to the sunlight. My face stung like hell. He quickly put the hood back on my face.
"Why are you here?" Harper barked at me.
"I was trying to find a bathroom, and I got lost," I lied weakly.
Harper laughed.
"Vampires don't use bathrooms."
It seemed I wasn't a very good liar. "I had to put some makeup on."
"Enough of the lies," he hissed at me while tightening the hand on my throat. "Why did you attack my men."
"They attacked me first," I muttered. I felt like I was about ready to pass out even though I wasn't very certain that was entirely possible. Darkness began greeting the outskirts of my vision.
I jolted at the sound of high-pitched squealing. Harper turned to look behind him. His grip on my throat loosened slightly. I took it as a very small window of opportunity. I used my nails to dig as deeply as possible into his hand that was on my throat. He hissed and immediately dropped me. I kicked and punched everywhere I could.
Harper laughed cruelly as he picked me up and threw me as if I weighed no more than a feather.
I groaned as I landed face up on top of the hood of a car. I could hear the glass shatter upon impact. My head throbbed. I tried to pick myself up, but it was no use. I wanted to scream because the sun was burning my exposed face, but no sound came out.
"Damn it, George. Get Harper!" Brandon yelled.
I looked at the source of Brandon's voice, and I turned to see him coming towards me. He was too late. I closed my eyes as darkness took over.

"She won't drink," I heard George mutter in frustration.
"Shove it down her throat. Of course she won't drink. She is weak," Brandon snapped back at George as if he was stupid.
I groaned they were way too noisy. I tried to open my eyes, but my eye lids would not cooperate. I just wanted to sleep. At least I wouldn't feel like I had gotten hit by a bus when I was asleep.
"Move out of my way," Brandon growled at George.
I was hoisted up from whatever I was rested upon. I whimpered as someone rested my neck against something. I could hear Brandon muttering under his breath. Cool liquid was poured between my lips. I relaxed slightly as I recognized the refreshing taste of blood. I panicked as I realized I couldn't swallow. My throat hurt way too much. I felt some of the blood spill down my cheek.
"Get me another bag of blood," Brandon demanded.
George mumbled something as he exited.
"Swallow, Cassie," Brandon demanded bossily as always.
I only whimpered in response. Did he not realize how much pain I was in?
Brandon huffed in frustration and covered my nose. I struggled to breathe, so I quickly swallowed. I winced as the blood went down my sore throat.
"Acting like a human once again. You don't need to breath. At least you drank." Brandon told me.
I could already feel the blood working its healing magic on me. My throat didn't feel as sore, nor did my body. I was still so thirsty, but I sure wasn't going to tell Brandon that. He would gloat.
