You and Darry had been seeing each other for a couple months now but nobody knew about it.Every now and then he would take you to dinner just outside of town for a date. But you wouldn't go where someone you know might see you.
Darry had spent quite a long time making sure that the boys were okay and that they had enough. He was constantly working so there would be something extra for him and each of his brothers. He usually spent his something extra on you. You guys always split the bill so neither of you spent too much.
You didn't get to see Darry often but you would sometimes bring him lunch or just stop by to see him at work. Sometimes you would find a single flower at your door step.
Darry was great, it just sucked having to hide it. He didn't want the boys to think he was abandoning them. If only he would realize that he is over parenting them.
Darry hasn't changed much since you two started seeing each other. Nothing that the gang noticed anyway.
Darry would still stress over little things and freak on his brothers for leaving a mess but a little less often. He would come home from work still exhausted but not as grumpy.
Today Darry decided he would stop by to see you after work. "I'll be home late tonight. Stay home. Dinner is in the fridge. Don't call, just stay in the house." He told soda and Pony strictly. "I don't give a rats ass what the gang wants to do, you come straight home and stay home otherwise we ain't doing nothing tomorrow night."
"Where ya going Dar?" Soda questions.
"I've gotta do some errands and see a few people." He tells him.
"Like who?" Pony pipes in.
"Don't worry. Just behave." He sounds frustrated.
He scruffs up their hair before pushing them towards the truck and dropping them off at school and work before going to work himself.
You are about to drop by his work to bring him some lunch when you see he is with Dallas.
So instead you continue walking past. Darry looks at you and you send him a wink and he smiles. Dallas turns and checks you out but you just keep walking.
"Now that a good looking broad." Dallas tells Darry, which earns him a smack. "What?"
"That's not just a broad. That's a gorgeous lady." Darry grins.
After work he does as planned and surprises you by showing up at your house.
You open the door in your sweats and smile when you see him. You pull him inside and hug him tightly.
"What are you doing here babe?" You ask.
"I took the night off so I could spend time with you." He lifts you onto his hips.
"I could make us dinner." You offer.
"After." He whispers before kissing you and walking to your room. He lays you on your bed and pulls off his shirt before unbuttoning yours and kissing back up to your lips. "You're mine baby girl."
