Please remember that this is a Fanfiction and that the thoughts and actions of real life characters (like hayes grier.) are just that... fiction.

I would also like to add that this chapter is shorter than normal so I'm sorry. But we do have a different POV, so yay!

Hayes's POV

Her name was Taty. I don't know why but it sounded familiar. She was a new student but I felt like I knew her... weird.

She wasn't at school the next day, or the day after that. I wasn't worried, but I was curious. She didn't seem sick at school and also didn't seem like the type to just ditch.

It was Friday morning when she finally showed back up to school. She was like a ghost all through first period. She wouldn't look up at anything, it react when she was called on. It was like she wasn't even here.

In bio we were doing a lab together but she wouldn't look at me or talk.

All she did was full out the answers on the worksheet. "I didn't scare you off did I?" I ask jokingly. She glances at me and pulls her lips into a thin smile, then goes right back down to her paper.

"What's up with you?" I ask. If there wasn't anything the matter with her she shouldn't be acting like this, because it was a bit annoying. I don't like talking to walls. She just shook her head.

"I don't want to talk about it." She tells me.

The bell rings and it's time to go to my next class. Taty was all too happy to leave, in fact she was out of the door before I even had the chance to pack up my stuff...weird.

I ran into her in the hallways a few times, she didn't notice me.

The school bell rang a few classes later but I wasn't ready to let her go before finding out what's up with her.

I found her walking out of school and caught up to her. "Hey. How about you tell me what's up." I say.

"The sky." She responds blankly.

"Alright that's it." I grab her wrist and take her to the track. It was only three fifty so there was no one there yet, meets started at five.

"We're alone so if you were afraid of everyone else knowing what's wrong with you, you don't have to be." I tell her. She shakes her head disapprovingly.

"No Hayes. I already told you that you should stay away from me. If you knew what I knew, if you saw what I've seen you'd know exactly why I'm not good." She explains. I brush a loose strand of hair away from her face and tuck it gently behind her head. She was hurt, and felt alone.

She looked sad but strangely familiar. Taty...Taty...where have I heard- wait. That's right.

I used to have a best friend named Taty years ago. She was really nice, funny and not to mention the same girl that's standing in front of me now.

"I remember you." I tell her. Furrowing my brows. "You were my best friend."

"Well in glad you remember. I just hope that you can hold onto those memories. The innocent best friend from years ago." She laughed. "That, is exactly how I want to be remembered. I don't want anyone to know about me the way I am now." She returned to a solemn resting face.

"That's okay." I wink at her. "I like dangerous." She scoffs and walks away. I shake my head.

"I will find out who you really are, I can promise that." She turns back for a final moment making eye contact.

"If I were you I really wouldn't do that. You won't like what you find, I can promise that." She warns.

I wasn't sure what it was that drew me to her but she was different, and it was nice.
