I was nervous. I may look calm and patient on the outside, but on the inside I was giddy and very impatient. It has been so long since Casey and I actually hung out together after he came back. The first time that we did, it didn't go too well. I cringed at the memory where I left Casey at the coffee shop, confused and alone. I didn't know why I was so mad that time, but now that I do, I felt really bad. I'm actually glad Carla kicked us out of the house for the night; otherwise Casey and I wouldn't have gotten this do-over.

"Are you hungry?" He suddenly asked.

I looked up at him and smiled.

"I thought we were going to watch a movie?" I asked and he chuckled.

"Yeah but I'm hungry, we'll watch something awesome after. I promise." He said. My cheeks redden from smiling cheekily at him.

"Well in that case, I'm starving." I said.

He grinned and turned on the left blinker and smoothly rolled the steering wheel that direction. I watched as it swooshed back to place and Casey's left hand went down to lie on the gear stick. I pushed the thought of holding them away and averted my attention to my window and saw that we had arrived at our destination. After a while of looking for a place to park, we found a spot not so far from the elevator.

When he cut the power off, I unbuckled my seatbelt and made a move to get my bag from the backseat. Casey gave me a confused look and asked what I was doing.

"To get my wallet." I deadpanned.

He chuckled and unbuckled his seatbelt.

"No need, you're with me." He said as he opened the door and hopped out.

I sat there for a while with a dumbfounded look and watched as he made his way around the front towards my door. He reached out his hand and opened said door while giving me a short bow, gesturing me to get out. I rolled my eyes but reluctantly jumped out.

We headed to the elevator side by side and got out on the first floor. Who knew that the mall would be crowded on Tuesdays? I even nearly lost track of Casey's whereabouts several times. Luckily he quickly noticed and came back for me. When the crowd was getting a little bit hard to get through, Casey reached out to hold my hand and entwined our fingers to seal it.

He led me out of the crowd and we finally got our answer as to why it was super packed. Apparently there was a Chinese dragon show going on and everyone had stopped to watch. Eventually the sea of people stopped and we walked around the mall, finding the restaurant that we were going to eat in, but apparently, they were packed.

Since the waiting list was too long, Casey had an apologetic smile and asked me if I wanted to go eat somewhere else.

"Let's just look around, maybe we'll get lucky." I said.

Casey nodded and led us to the escalator and lets go of my hand. I blinked in realization that we hadn't let go of each other's hands since the crowd of people watching the show downstairs. I blushed.
