How Dally is in Private and With the Gang

Dallas Winston was something different for sure. He was on his own for a long time so now that you're together he's changed a bit.

He tried to be tough with you but it didn't work so he gave up on it in private.

To say that he is proud that you are his girl would be an understatement.

When you're in public his arm is always over your shoulder and his head is always held high. He loves being able to show you off as arm candy but he doesn't kiss you. Everyone knows you're his girl and nobody else can touch you. Rarely can you even hug the gang.

He said that Hoods don't show weakness. He said you're only his girl so no other guys can touch you.

He thinks if people know he cares about you that they'll use you against him. He won't let that happen to you.

But when it's just you two he's needy. "Babe can you rub my back?" "Babe can you get me a smoke?" "Babe can you get me a drink?"

And you always did whatever he wanted. But only because he would do things for you too. Most people think that because you're Dallas' girl, he has you in the palm of his hand because you're scared.

That was not the case. He could never hurt you or let you get hurt.

"Honey could you grab me a blanket?" You'd ask and you'd be covered up in under a minute. "Honey could you rub my feet?" He was at your feet massaging them gently. "Honey I don't feel good." Immediately he started soup and the kettle and was looking for medicine.

He'd do anything for you without hesitation.

"Babe can you cuddle with me?" He'd ask.

A smile was on your lips as you snuggled up against him and covered up with a blanket.

He was always hesitant to ask you for things though. He didn't want to push his limits with you. You had told him not to worry but he would still be nervous.

He would always ask if he could come over even though you gave him a spare key. He would ask before getting himself a drink or snack. He was nothing but polite with you.

He was a great boyfriend to you. He only wanted to make you happy. If you were upset he would convince himself that it was because of him.

He constantly craved your attention and affection.

Aside from when he had needy moods he was stuck to you like glue.

If you were in the kitchen, his arms were around your waist. If you were watching tv, you had to be on him in some way. If you were sleeping, he had an iron grip on you.

If you were having a shower, he'd be damned if he wasn't in there with you.

One time, you had just showered and you were blow drying your hair in the bathroom so he was sitting on the counter watching you. When your hair was done you dried his too, the warmth made him groggy and he pulled you to the couch. You sat down and he put his head in your lap with little hesitation. You started to run you fingers through his soft, dark locks of hair and he passed out quickly.

You wished that his hair was always clean because he's got soft hair and it feels amazing to run your fingers through it. For both of you.

As he was passed out in your lap, the Curtis boys came in. You just smiled at them softly and gestured for them to pick a seat.

"Babe can i have a blanket?" Dallas spoke sleepily while curling up slightly.

"Of course." You whispered back and kissed his head before Darry passed you a blanket. You covered up your boyfriend and he smiled lightly.

"Mmm, love you babe." He managed in a small voice with his eyes still shut.

That was the first time he said it. You knew he did but he hadn't ever said it.

"Love you too honey." You whispered in his ear with red cheeks.

He puckered his lips a little and you pecked them softly.

The boys started chuckling quietly which of course just got louder and louder and Dallas' eyes shot open.

"Talk to the gang bout this and I'll gut each of you." He growled. He sat up and put his arm around you instead.

"You know Dal, when you're clean you look like a soc." Darry teases.

"Shut it Darrel." He shot him daggers.

"I'm gonna make dinner now." You told them.

Dallas frowned at you as you walked towards your small apartment kitchen.

As soon as you were in the kitchen, the teasing began.

They called him soft and told him he didn't look like a greaser and boy did that start a fight. He tackled soda and they started wrestling.

"Dallas, don't you break anything!" You yelled and he pushed Soda off of him and moved things back to their original positions then sat back down in his spot.

The boys just stared in awe at the sight in front of them.

They thought Dallas was in charge but you've got him wrapped around your finger.

While everything was cooking you sat on the counter and Ponyboy got plates out. Dallas walked in and when Pony wasn't looking Dallas kissed you hard. He didn't want to get caught but he couldn't resist it.

"You've got the boy whipped." Darry laughs.

Dallas starts to pull back but you nibble his lip teasingly and he kisses you a moment longer. "We'll finish up tonight." He whispers.

Darry helps you finish dinner while the other boys do whatever. "He's different with you." He says.

"Yeah. He is." You nod and smile to yourself.

"You're okay with him being different when people are around?" He looked confused.

"If he always acted the way he acts when we're in private, every girl in the world would fall in love with him." You chuckled a little.

"But what if he's never open about loving you?"

"He shows me he loves me when it's just us and that's all I need." You shrugged and smiled at your boyfriend as he came towards you.

It didn't matter that he played extra tough Dally around the gang because at the end of the night with just you he stopped trying so hard and was just your incredible boyfriend Dallas.

That would always be fine with you..
