They were back to their old house.

Bree felt both refreshed and sad about it. She was back to the same room when she had spent so much with Becca. Moreover, she was also scared. She had no idea why Kate and the pale kids seemed so happy about them moving back to the old house. She knew it couldn't be anything good. The whole process of moving was tiring.

Her mother was relieved and her dad didn't seem too happy about moving again but after what happened with Jess, he had no choice but to obey his wife. Bree tried to talk to Jess, to let her know that she would never do anything to hurt her but Jess wouldn't listen. Every time she saw Bree around, she would just walk away and ignored her. Bree felt really sad about that situation. She never had the greatest relationship with Jess but at least they had gotten along.

Bree was lonely again.

She hadn't seen Kate or any of the pale kids around. Were they left behind in the house? She was nightmare free and for a moment she let herself think it was all over.

The first week was as normal as it could get. Plus, her parents trying to make it work between her and Jess. Her mother cooked them pancakes with happy faces to cheer them up. Her father would try and talk to them in a cool way, trying to get them to talk to each other. Unfortunately, it seemed like Jess needed more than some parents' intervention. Bree was growing sadder each passing day. Not only she had lost Kate but she had also lost the only sister she had left.

She didn't want to lose any more people in her life.

It felt like that was all she'd been doing since the day Becca passed away. She lost her friends at school because most of them only spoke to her because of Becca. Her twin was the cool kid with funny jokes and creative games. She was just the girl that looked like Becca. Even her parents had some clear preference over Becca. Sometimes, she wondered why God had decided to take Becca instead of her.

She shook her head and placed Mr. Wiggles right next to her in the bed. She hugged him tightly and let the tears fall down her face. She had never felt more alone in her life. She wanted friends, she wanted her twin, and she wanted Jess back. She couldn't handle the loneliness anymore. It was too much.

"Crying like a baby?" Kate's voice startled her. Bree sat up as fast as she could. Kate was at the edge of her bed.

"Kate!" she couldn't hide the enthusiasm in her voice, "You're back."

"Not for long," Kate said in a serious tone.

"Why? Don't leave me alone again, please."

"I thought you were mad at me for pushing that sister of yours." Kate pointed out.

Bree shook her head, "I forgive you. Just don't leave me again."

"Why were you crying?"

Bree wiped her tears away in embarrassment, "I was lonely."

"You don't want to be alone, do you?" Bree shook her head, "You know exactly what to do."

"No, I can't hurt them."

"They're suffering anyway, Bree." Kate sighed, "I gave you time to mature these past couple days but it seems like it was pointless." Kate turned around.

"No! Wait, don't leave," Bree rushed her words, "I have matured. I've thought about everything you said and I forgave you for pushing Jess."

Kate stared at her, "What have you thought?"

Bree hesitated, "A lot of things. Just don't go, Kate, please." Kate seemed to think about it but she finally decided to stay and Bree couldn't be happier. There was no need to cry anymore. She wasn't alone.
