Peyton's POV

--------------------

I hate Monday mornings. I got up and was driven to school. The morning seems to be so slow, and tiresome. First period Gym Class, the only time I get to see my friend Cassidy. I sat on the bleachers seeing my friend Cassidy run up the bleachers toward me. She excitedly sits down next to me. "You seem excited" I said smiling a bit at how crazy she was acting.

"I am excited, do you know why?" She asked bobbing her head.

"No, what is it?" I asked. She shook excitedly in her seat, her long red hair moving from side to side.

"See that cute guy out on the field?" She asked pointing at a muscular, handsome guy running on the field playing football with a few other guys. He looked familiar. "That's James Carter."

"Yeah, I know" I said.

"Wait, what?! How do you know him?"

"When I was walking home yesterday...he sort of...gave me a ride home" I stated quietly.

"And?" Cassidy questioned. She could tell there was more to the story.

"He asked me to hang out this Friday." I said rubbing the back of my guiltily.

"What?! Oh my god, Peyton! Do you realize who you're going to hang?!" She asked outraged.

"A regular guy?" I said unsurely.

"I heard that James is a real animal around girls, a real player" she stated wiggling her eyebrows.

"That must be a rumor then, because he was nothing like that around me" I said.

"I don't know about that, Peyton. Look whose waving at you" she said motioning toward the field. I looked down upon the field seeing James wave at me. I wave back at him. Suddenly I see two guys running toward James, looking that are about tackle him. I then see James spin around and pin them both to the ground in less than a second. We're my eyes playing tricks on me or did that really happen? I thought to myself. I decided that I'm not going to worry about it.

Twenty minutes later, me and Cassidy head to the weights room where we find none other than James lifting weights. I noticed the number on the weight he was lifting. My mouth dropped. It was 1,000lb. weight! I thought to myself. No one can lift that kind of weight, not even the people who brought the equipment in could have carried that. Maybe with a forklift. James was lifting it as if it weighed only a pound. I grabbed Cassidy by the arm and dragged her out of the room.

"What's the matter, Peyton?" She asked confused.

"Did you see that?"

"What?" She asked.

"James was lifting a freaking 1,000lb. weight! No one can lift that much!"

"I'm sure it was just an 90lb. weight" she said in disbelief.

"No, it was 1,000lbs."

"What? You think he's some sort of muscle man?" She asked.

"He seems super human, he was lifting the weight as if it weighed nothing" I freaked.

"Calm down, lets just forget it and go get changed, the bell's going to ring" she said putting an arm over my shoulder.

"Alright" I agreed. We then started walking back to the locker room. I feel that something's not right about James, I thought. He's not normal.
