After an hour of searching she saw Talia in a clearing she was laying on the ground her sniper trained in the distance.
“Don’t say a sound” Talia said as Hikari stopped Talia took a deep breath before pulling the trigger the shop rang out as it wisped through the air before hitting the target Talia had set up just barely missing the center.
“That was a good shot,” Hikari said as she sat down next to Talia.
“No it wasn’t I need more practice” Talia said as she sat up.
“Why doesn't your semblance let you never miss,” Hikari asked, tilting her head in confusion.
“That’s the thing my Semblance lets me never miss. That shot was without my Semblance,” Talia said looking at Hikari.
“Why didn’t you use your semblance?” Hikari asked, now having more questions.
“Because. I want to be better. I use my semblance for every shot, even easy ones. I want to be a better shot so I only have to use it for when I really need to make the shot count” Talia said as she looked at her sniper Valkyrie laying on the blanket.
“Always trying to hit your mark Talia,” Hikari said, placing her hand on her shoulder.
“Yeah you want to give it a try?” Talia said, looking back at Hikari.
“You sure you want me to shoot?” Hikari asked surprised
“Definitely you can start small and use Silent Night” Talia said as she stands up and takes one of her pistols out of the holster ejecting the Magazine checking the ammo before putting it back in and pulling the slide back she grabs the barrel and hands it to Hikari “I have it on semi so it will only fire one shot each time.”
Hikari looks at the pistol, a midnight blue pistol with white dots meant to represent the starry night sky. She stands up and carefully takes the pistol.
“How do I do this?” Hikari asked as she turned towards the Target.
“Ok, steady your hand, breathe slowly and pull the trigger when you're ready” Talia said as she took a step back.
Hikari Aimed at the target, her hands shaking as she slowly pulls the trigger, the pistol goes off with a bang Hikari jumps as the bullet zips through the air, missing the target.
Hikari falls to the ground from the recoil before looking at the target seeing she missed.
“Ugh I’m not good at this” Hikari said, setting the pistol on the blanker.
“It takes practice” Talia draws her other pistol, a Ivry white pistol with a skull using a bullet acting like it's shining. She aims at the target and pulls the trigger with a bang as the bullet zips to the target hitting the target close to the center but not as close as with her sniper.
“Yeah but you have your semblance” Hikari said standing up.
“That shot was without it,” Talia said, bending down to pick up her other pistol before holstering them both.
“You have been Practicing then” Hikari said dusting off her Kimono.
“Yeah I want to be the best shot In Remnant” Talia said, picking up Valkyrie.
“I believe one day you will now lets get back classes will begin soon” Hikari said turning to head back
“Yeah hey want to practice with me some time” Talia asked Slinging Valkyrie over her shoulder while walking alongside Hikari.
“Of course if you wouldn’t mind me teaching you some dances from Mistral” Hikari said with a smile that looked almost like it wasn’t her usual forced one.
“You know I can’t dance, you saw what happened last time” Talia said with a smug look on her face.
“That’s why I want to teach you,” Hikari said, looking at Talia.
“Alright it’s a deal” Talia said going back to her Joyful self.
“Then it’s settled,” Hikari said, her smile looking more real.
And so Talia and Hikari went back to Beacon to get ready for the school day and continue their training another time.
