"Kami, please—I fell asleep with my playlist on," she called down the hall, gesturing at the charger dangling from her dead phone as he passed.
"Well, since you asked so nicely..." he said, stepping toward the open door and reaching for the cable.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you—you're a lifesaver!" she began, only for him to stop short and withdraw his hand, leaning against the frame, blond hair sticking up in its usual messy spikes, grin beginning to form. "But it'll cost you."
"Where and when?" she asked, scowling at his feint.
"Let's say..." He paused deliberately, relishing the dramatic effect as she watched him feign deep deliberation. "Class 3-A in about ten minutes," he finally concluded, clearly all too pleased with himself for getting under her skin.
"We literally live in the dorms on campus, you lazy twat," she snorted.
"I don't think I like your tone, young lady," he quipped, placing a hand theatrically over his heart as he started turning to leave.
"Fine! Fine! Deal—here," she said, struggling to keep a straight face as she handed him her phone and hurried to pack her bag for class.
"I left it on your bed, see ya in 10!" his voice drifted farther away as he presumably made his way down to the kitchen.
She grabbed her fully charged phone and bag, giving herself a quick once-over in the mirror and smoothing down a few stray hairs, when the door swung open just as she finished, and Izuku popped in.
"Y/N—" he blurted, already halfway across the room pulling her into a quick hug. "I've gotta go see All Might, I just—wanted to say hi first."
"Yeah, yeah, go," she laughed, nudging him toward the door.
"Okay—bye!" he called, already jogging down the hall.
"I'll see you later!" she shouted after him, though he was clearly in too much of a rush to slow down.
She switched off her light and closed the door behind her—just as someone came barreling into her from behind.
"I MISSED YOU!"
"Mina!" Y/N spun around and wrapped her arms around her friend. "I missed you too, geez, don't sneak up on me like that."
Mina laughed, squeezing her way too hard. "I can't it's been forever!"
Y/N rolled her eyes, grinning. "It's been, what, two days? Calm down, Minnie." She was grateful her quirk made frequent meet-ups so easy.
"Two days feels like two years," Mina complained dramatically.
Before Y/N could answer, Ochaco came bouncing toward them. "Mina!" her voice chimed as she wrapped her arms around both girls. Her quirk flared to life, lifting all three of them into the air in a soft pink glow. "When did you get here? Y/N and I couldn't find you last night!" she beamed.
"Like literally 20 minutes ago," Mina laughed. "My dad made me stay home as long as possible. Something about 'growing up too fast' and 'leaving him in a care home.' He gets a little dramatic this time of year."
Y/N pictured a teary Mr. Ashido waving her off that morning. "Aww, that's sweet," she said, smiling.
Ochaco let them float back down, holding their hands until her quirk deactivated and they landed smoothly.
