Chapter 22

Recap :

Vinceozo received a call from Agastya about his father trying to kill him due to which Vincenzo went straight to home. There he saw his assistant, Gabriela and asked him about Agastya's location and she mentioned about him being with his female friend. But Agastya wasn't there, he was not in the mansion nor the guards could find him. He even sent a spy behind his brother Enzo who would try to assassinate Vincenzo's life partner to get the throne of the clan, as according to their family rule book, they need to get a heir and life partner for it. And Enzo wants the throne. But Enzo was with some blonde women for the past few days with no records of murder or kidnapping which means Agastya wasn't with him. Vincenzo have given Agastya a charm, a small ornament which he always kept in his pockets.
The charm was of diamond mixed with emerald and gold lace with a small detector in it. But the charm was broken causing him to face difficulties in finding Agastya's exact location. Which made him think that Agastya might be injured.

Vincenzo asked his father about it and he said the same thing as Gabriela, at the end Vincenzo finally found the location through the broken charm it was hard but the Ciscos have the best technology in whole Italy and they did track him, Agastya's location signalled to a library, Vincenzo sat in his car and drove and then he received a call from an unknown number and when he picked it up. It was Agastya, his voice sounded unusual than his regular bright one. When Vincenzo finally got picked Agastya up he asked him three questions and then went silent he wanted to ask more but Agastya's demeanour made him more concerned than curious. When they reach home Agastya went upstairs sitting in their bedroom while Vincenzo decided to talk to him that's when his gaze fell on the cabinet, the clothes inside were messy and a small gap in the corner as of somone sat in there. Was it Agastya? Vincenzo taught

Agastya's pov:

I landed on the soft mattress while Vincenzo just stood near the cabinet I think he's searching for clothes or somthing I don't know.

I'm just too exhausted from all those.....

Flashback of when Agastya found out about Gabriela and his father in law's plan.

Agastya's pov:

I peaked through the small hole between the doors that's when I saw them discussing about how they wanted to separate me and Vincenzo.

Gabriela? Said the old man, Alessandro

Yes boss?

I once made a contract with Vincenzo, its been a while now.

A contract with him?

Yes, Gabriela, I gave him 3 days to find someone to marry or else I'll choose myself. But he ended up finding a male..

Boss? They won't be able to produce a heir how would Vincenzo get the throne?

That's my point, I never knew my own son was.. Into men I tried to stop the wedding but Vincenzo threatened me that he would leave the clan.

That's not acceptable! Gabriela yelled in annoyance.

That man is unbeatable but I won't let him pass, if he left the Mafias.. Enzo would take the throne and i don't trust him, I can't even imagine that in future The name of the Ciscos would go down.

And if I want that name on top, Vincenzo must take the throne.

Gabriela?

Yes boss?

You are the member of another Clan and we took you in so that you can understand how our clan works that was the first step, Miss Mafia princess. You can address me as Alessandro when Vincenzo's not around.

Now the second step we need to assassinate Agastya, In the meeting between me and Vincenzo, he asked for a chance and I did gave him but when Agastya won't be there with him then.. There won't be a second chance for him to choose. And eventually I'll make him marry you.

Gabriela nods on agreement and asked.

Should we really kill him? If he himself left Vincenzo then that would be a better option. What do you think?

He would never do that but if we try something

Like blackmail?

Yes then he would after all that kid is just a softie.

Am I wrong Agastya?

Gabriela said glancing through the gap as she has already noticed Agastya's eyes while he was peeking through the door. And they both stared at him.

I ran as fast as I could but I knew there was no escape they want to separate me and Vincenzo... It was always the plan? I was.. Just a genuine pig for them?

Stop! Gabriela said throwing a knife at me but I dodged it somehow just my sleeves got a cut and blood drips down.

I huffed, my breathe heavy as guards stopped me but I ran upstairs sitting in the cabinet that's when I called Vincenzo, we had a secrect phone in there.

If he wants to play hide and seek.. Then its fine

I heard a familiar voice, it was Gabriela's, she opened the cabinet staring at me and pulled me out of the cabinet.

Agastya..? You know you actually stole my husband, Vincenzo was my fiancé... Gabriela shouted at me with rage in her voice.

He wasn't your husband, you were never married, he never accepted you... You were never his... And would never be... I said as I slowly got up freeing myself from her grip, with a sudden confidence and anger in my chest.

Just when I said that she burst into anger hitting my face and eventually stabbing my thighs. But I felt nothing, the sudden feeling of jealously was too much to feel any pain right now.

Shut up! You don't get it! You think you can just enter in the  Mafia world? And steal my husband?

For the last time he was never yours.. He is mine and he would be mine forever...

I felt a sudden intense pain in my thigh, my eyes suddenly started to get foggy that's when I realised that the knife actually had some kind of drug in it and now it is running through my nerves.

With a soft thud sound I fell on my knees looking up at her staring deep in her soul those words written on my face "Vincenzo is mine".

I sat in the dark corner, regretting every single word when I said Vincenzo to leave at that time. But right now I'm all vulnerable..I said looking at my injured body, my previous possessive energy slowly leaving while my body starts to feel numb.

Any last wish?

What?

Vincenzo... He's my last wish..

I said as I looked at the gun pointing right on my forhead. But it didn't shoot me... What is she planning about?

Agastya? Agastya? I heard a familiar voice chanting my name repeatedly.

Yes?

It was Vincenzo he looked concerned and sat next to me as his hand moved closer to my hand slowly clutching it in a comforting manner while his eyes were locked on mine.

Is there somthing bothering you?

No its not, I lied
