"Yeah, I'm pretty sure they will be grey." I say.
I was hanging upside down on the couch talking with Laura, who was sitting across from me, when KaCee walked in.
"What will be grey?" She asks.
"Oh, you know. Just the sheets of our new home." Laura says nonchalantly.
"Where? I didn't know we were leaving." KaCee says, confused.
"The county jail!" Laura snaps.
I look over to KaCee, "We were just discussing what a prison looks like, I've never been." I ticked off on my fingers. "So far we have white cement walls, grey sheets, metal sinks, and steel bars."
"Oh, calm down, guys. This will be fun!" KaCee grins widely. "We have famous people in my basement!"
"Freeze!" I shout, smirking. "Say that last sentence again."
KaCee thinks a minute before slowly saying, "We have famous people in my basement..."
I burst out laughing. Apparently, I was laughing so hard I fell from the couch. This in turn caused KaCee and Laura to laugh at me. We were laughing so hard we were clutching our stomachs.
"D-don't laugh.... a-at me!" I tried to get out between breaths, but they didn't stop.
Finally we stopped, me laying on the floor next to my couch, Laura still on hers, and KaCee slumped against a chair for support as we all tried to catch our breaths.
"This is insane." I mutter.
"Would you do it any different?" KaCee asks.
"Probably not..." Laura admits, shrugging.
"There you go then." She smiles.
"Well...." I say, stretching it out. "I could've gone without being knocked unconscious." I shoot a pointed look at KaCee, yet a smile stays on my face.
"That cannot be helped." She says, smiling. "It was in the plans."
"Sure it was." Laura rolls her eyes.
"Nobody believes anything I say." KaCee pouts.
I smirk at her before a beep sounds from the kitchen. "Dinner is done, guys." I say, getting up and heading out of the room. I take the pasta out of the microwave and dish it out on plates as Laura and KaCee file in, taking a seat at the table.
"When we're done with lunch do you guys want to go downstairs and hang out?" KaCee says.
"I don't mind." I say, looking at Laura. "You?"
"Sure, but I should change first."
"We can wait then." KaCee says. "Jo and I already did."
We finished eating and waited for Laura to change out of the clothes she wore to the concert.
"I'm ready!" She says, walking in.
"Yay!" KaCee cheers, jumping from her seat.
This so going to be... Wow, I can't even find words. And that is saying something...
We follow behind her, pausing as she unlocks the basement door. We walk down the steps to find the boys all spread out. They were standing about the place, two laying on the sofas and three wandering around the provided space. Most of the doors leading to other rooms being locked.
"Hey guys!" KaCee greets them with a smile. "Would you mind taking a seat?"
"I would mind!" Liam protests. "We were just bloody kidnapped!"
