11: The Library (part 3)

Jimin stared at the small black hole getting bigger and bigger, a thick black liquid emerging out, while his lips moved constantly as he repeated the similar phrase over and over again. "enola mih evael." His mind stopped working, his body stiffened.

Jimin traced the hole with his fingers, touching the cold liquid. His heartbeat slowed, whispers echoed, too slow and unclear as if many ghosts were talking to each other. Unbothered by his surroundings, Jimin stared at the hole with curiosity.

Taehyung sensed something wrong, the same demonic energy he felt in the graveyard when he encountered the demonic creature. His heart thudded loudly in his chest, his breath fastened, "Jimin!" he called again, still no response from Jimin.

A lump formed in his throat, and Taehyung swallowed. He took a few steps closer to Jimin, and with a rapid move, Taehyung grabbed Jimin's collar and pulled him back.

Jimin stumbled back on the floor, gasping a long deep breath, as right at that moment, a cluster of black butterflies burst out from the hole and attacked Jimin.

Jimin screamed, his voice echoed through the empty library. He crawled back and kicked his legs against the marble floor, trying to escape the dark butterflies circling him. His hands trembled as Jimin covered his face, but the cold wings brushed against his skin, making him shake harder. His breaths came out fast and broken, his eyes wide in horror.

Jimin tried to push them away, but they only grew in number, their wings whispering like a thousand voices in his ears. "No! No, get away!" Jimin cried, tears streaming down his cheeks, his voice trembling. His chest tightened, his heart pounding painfully fast.

Jimin couldn’t breathe. His fingers clawed at his neck, desperate for air, while his body twisted in fear. His eyes darted toward the door, but he couldn’t move. The black butterflies covered his arms, his hair, his shoulders, he felt trapped, suffocated. A loud sob escaped his lips as he screamed again, "Taehyung! Help me!"

Taehyung quickly approached the door, opened the lock, and grabbed Jimin by his arm. His own heart raced with panic, but he knew he needed to protect Jimin at all costs.

"Let's leave, Jimin." Taehyung said. "Come on, get up." He suggested, helping Jimin to get up.

Jimin's legs trembled as he followed Taehyung outside. Butterflies chased them in clusters, crashing on the walls, leaving black burned marks on the surface.

Jimin and Taehyung crossed the lonely hallway and arrived at the crowded main hall of the school, but the butterflies still swarmed around them, attacking Jimin constantly.

Jimin yelled again, his voice filled with terror and agony, as he had always feared the butterflies, their wings, their touch, everything sent a shiver down his spine. Long time ago, wen he was young kid, a boy had locked him in the bathroom while he put a butterfly under his pants, ever since Jimin had a extreme phobia of butterflies.

Panicked and confused, Taehyung took off his coat and swung it in the wind, trying to fight against the butterflies.

The students gathered around Jimin and Taehyung, witnessing a horrifying scene with excitement, calling Jimin a crazy monster and Taehyung a new psychopath, as none of them could see what Jimin and Taehyung were witnessing at that moment.

Taehyung realized that the magic was strong and he couldn't fight anymore. He took a small pouch from his pants pocket, filled with holy salt and herbs, and started to throw it in the wind while he kept muttering the holy verses of the Bible. But unfortunately, every attempt of Taehyung to protect Jimin from the black butterflies failed.

The butterflies continued to attack Jimin. He yelled, screaming and walking backward. Scratches appeared on his smooth skin, covering his face and arms. Jimin shuddered in fear, he cried like a traumatized child, tears streaming down through his wide-open eyes, while in the meantime Taehyung saw the same demonic creature standing among the students.
