Chapter 19

Before starting this chapter, I want to apologise cause I wasn't posting much due to exams and all those student stuff but now I'll try to drop a chapter every day (I'll try).

Agastya's pov:

Bored without Vincenzo, I decided to explore the mansion just like I use to but it was my first time wandering around the hallways with no reason, no Vincenzo, no hunger and no-..

Is that Gabriela? She's talking with Vincenzo's dad?  Must be important huh? I should respect their privacy.

I thought as I walked past the huge door, it was slightly open leaving a centimeter gap between it from where I saw them. Despite deciding not to invade there privacy, curiosity played better on me and I tried to get an idea about what they were discussing.

Behind that giant door

Gabriela.. You see I want my son to be the one who would take the boss's position after me, and without breaking any family rules that have been being followed since the establishment of the Mafias.

The old man, in long dark coat with a bolo tie tied on his neck, grey hair and hunter eyes said.

His elbows on the desk, his fingers interwinged as he stared at Gabriela.

The only reason I allowed him to marry a boy was so that Vincenzo didn't left the mafias. I don't know what he saw in him though... What a foolish yet powerful man

Gabriela? He said, his eyes cold

Yes. Boss? She said noticing those cold glaze as she couldn't hide but smirked.

I'll take care of Agastya.. Should I kill him now? He didn't died in that car accident

He didn't? I taught you gave him that poison too?

I tried but couldn't Vincenzo's car made it hard to do so. He was right on time boss.

Where's Agastya?

He was in hi room. Gabriela said before staring at the door where I was standing.

They want to murder me? I thaught slowly stepping away from the door, my mind blank.  

Should I run?

No they would hear my footsteps and chase after me. What would Vincenzo do in this situation?

I froze when I met Gabriel's eyes on the door, seems like I've been noticed I thought, my legs automatically giving away, slowly sliding far away from the door with a tensed body and sweaty palm.

When I was safely away from the door I ran straight to our bedroom, locking the door behind as I sat down in a corner hugging my knees processing the information I just got.

Vincenzo's family was using me so that Vincenzo doesn't leave the family and at the end they want to get rid of me and fix marriage with Gabriela?.. That's messed up..so messed up.

I need to survive..

I thought to myself still unprepared about it

I should call Vincenzo that should be the first step..

I shove my hand into my pockets unable to find the phone that's when I saw a drone flying across the window slowly coming inside, it was a camera and on the screen was my father in law and Gabriela.

Are you trying to contact him?

I froze knowing damn well that the him they are referring to is Vincenzo.

Well poor you I don't have much time to deal with you, your phone is with us, a message about you is sent to Vincenzo so he won't be coming early this time.

Wait... You can't just..

I said with wide eyes

Why not?

The speaker of the drone spoke.

You thought you would enter the dark side with no pay backs? How foolish young man.

There's no escape..

Suddenly, I grabbed the water bottle throwing it on the drone arguing whether to do it or not , the close door won't protect me they would easily break it.

I need a safe place first but the security..

I rushed to the closet shoving myself between the clothes covering my body with it as I closed it, this was the fastest thing I could do, the door would break, I could feel tall figures standing there.

This is the dumbest hiding place, I need to figure out somthing or else I would die with suffocation.

Creeakkk

The door opened slowly, I grasped my mouth tightly determined not to make any  sound, my breathe hitches but I tried to maintain a better breathing in the cramped space.

Mam. The second boss is not here.

The guards said looking at Gabriela.

He's not here? Inspect every single corner of this room, I'm sure he won't just jump off the window. Cause if he did it would have been caught.

She said calmly.

He wants to play hide and seek? Very well then, he can't escape this mansion and if he wants few more seconds to live, I would grant him.

I sat in the dark corner, regretting every single word when I said Vincenzo to leave at that time. But right now I'm all vulnerable..I said looking at my injured body.

I said as I looked at the gun pointing right on my forhead.
