The room was heavy with unspoken truths, the air thick with the weight of emotions that neither Siya nor Ruhaan could fully articulate.

For the first time in her life, Siya the fierce, unyielding Mafia Queen found herself at a loss for words. Her heart pounded in her chest, a storm of love, guilt, and fear swirling within her.

She stood before Ruhaan, her husband, her anchor, her everything, and yet, in this moment, she felt like a stranger to herself. Her eyes, usually sharp and commanding, softened as they locked onto his trembling form.

Ruhaan’s voice cracked, raw with emotion, as he spoke, his words barely holding together.

“Aap mere parents ko pehle se jaanti hai, squirrel…” [You already knew my parents, squirrel…]

His voice broke, a fragile thread on the verge of snapping, his nickname for her slipping out like a lifeline to their shared past.

His dark eyes, glistening with unshed tears, searched her face for answers, for reassurance, for something to hold onto in the chaos threatening to engulf him.

Siya’s breath hitched. She closed her eyes, trying to steady herself, her heart aching at the vulnerability in his voice.

“Yes… yes…” she whispered, her voice soft, almost a plea, as if she could will away the pain in his heart.

Opening her eyes, she met his gaze, her own filled with a fierce determination.

“Aur aap mujhe pe bharosa karte hai, Ruh?” [And do you trust me, Ruh?]

Her question hung in the air, her voice steady but laced with a quiet desperation, her eyes boring into his, searching for the truth.

Ruhaan didn’t hesitate.

“Aapni jaan se zyada…”
[More than my life…]

His words were a vow, a confession, a lifeline. His voice was low, fervent, carrying the weight of every moment they’d shared, every promise they’d made. In that instant, the world outside ceased to exist it was just them, bound by an unbreakable bond.

Siya’s heart clenched, but she pressed forward, her voice trembling with the weight of the question she dreaded asking.

“Aapko lagta hai… maine aapke parents ko maara hai?”
[Do you think… I killed your parents?]

The words felt like shards of glass in her throat, each one cutting deeper as she forced them out. Her hands trembled at her sides, but she stood tall, her gaze never wavering from his.

“No,” Ruhaan said firmly, his voice cutting through the suffocating silence.

“Jisne mere bhai… ko  bacchaya, usse maa jaisa pyar diya, woh yeh nahi kar sakti.”
[The one who save my brother,  gave a child, a mother’s love, cannot do this.]
