Vairavan
A government school teacher, well-known man in their village, Vadipatti, Madurai, just like his father was. Married to Vadivukarasi and deeply loves his big family. He rarely gets angry, but when something serious happens around him, his anger surfaces.
Vadivukarasi
Wife of Vairavan, from Thirunelveli. A old lady with a powerful and strict aura, which makes the women in the house hesitate to even speak freely in front of her. Coz, she has some firm beliefs about how a woman should live, following village traditions closely. But, despite her strict nature, she loves her family deeply and always supports them in every situation.

First Daughter of our VV couple – Yogeshwari. Married to Kalaiarasu, they have two sons named Gautam and Karikalan.
Middle Son of our VV couple,
Sakthi Vel
A calm and romantic man, he owns a rice mill named Lingam Arisi Aalai. He is deeply in love with his wife, Veeramangai.
Veeramangai
She is sweet, innocent, and naughty. Though she pretends to be angry with her mother-in-law's queen-like behavior, she truly loves her a lot.

A quiet, lonely man who expresses his love only through actions. He takes up even a mechanic work, driving, and some small construction jobs just to forget his past, especially his first wife who left him without fulfilling his hopes and dreams.

Paramasivam
A well-known old man in their village of Alanganallur, Madurai, during his adult age, he used to win many prizes for his bull taming skills in Jallikattu. Now, he and his wife keep a special shed for training bulls every year for Pongal Jallikattu. A calm person and always thinks before making decisions.
Pankajam
The most innocent and lovable person in the family, known for her kind nature and deep love for her grandsons, Cheran and Magizhiniyan. She can't even live a day without talking to them. Everyone loves her. But, she, too, has some firm beliefs about how a woman should live, following every tradition.
They have three children,
First Son of our PP couple – Kanniyappan. Married to Dhanalakshmi, they have a daughter named Durga and a son named Bhairavan.
Second Son of our PP couple – Manickam. Married to Sukumari, they have two daughters, Lalitha and Pooja.
Last Daughter of our PP couple– Veeramangai. The sweet mother and wife we already know.
