If you buddies can't Don't ask for updates.
“You should be…” Siya countered back, her eyes flashing with pride.
Ruhaan instantly pouted like a little child, his lips curving down, eyes wide, trying to melt her anger away.
Siya sighed, shaking her head at him. “Now don’t make that cute face… I’m melting,” she murmured, her voice softening despite herself.
Gathering his courage, Ruhaan leaned in and pressed a shy kiss to her cheeks before wrapping his arms around her in a tender hug. His boyish innocence made her lips curl into a smile.
“I’m tired,” Siya whispered, her eyes heavy with exhaustion yet still sparkling with love. “Pick me up. I need to change.”
Without waiting, she jumped onto him, locking her legs around either side of his waist. Ruhaan held her instantly, his strong arms cradling her close as if she were the most precious thing in his world. He kissed her forehead gently before carrying her to their room.
Instead of placing her on the bed, he directly took her into the bathroom and put her down with care.
“You take a bath. I’ll prepare something for you,” he said warmly.
She nodded, her heart softening at his thoughtfulness.
Siya stepped into the shower, letting the warm water wash over her body. Twenty minutes passed, but her mind wasn’t in the bath it was caught in the dark threats she had been receiving.
Her siblings could handle themselves. They were trained, strong, and unshakable. But Ruhaan and Ishivik… they were her soft spots. Her vulnerable heart. And that fear gnawed at her in silence.
“Are you alright, squirrel?” Ruhaan’s voice suddenly echoed from the bedroom, pulling her out of her thoughts.
“Yes, Ruhhh… two minutes,” she called back, trying to steady her voice.
[Yes, Ruhhh… just two minutes.]
But then realization struck she had no clothes. Her pulse skipped as nervousness settled in her chest. Slowly, she peeked the bathroom door open, wrapped only in a towel. Her cheeks flushed as she whispered, “Ruhhh… give me clothes. I forgot.”
He chuckled softly, walking to the closet. Picking out her formal clothes and undergarments, Ruhaan’s mischievous side stirred. He thought of teasing her, just a little.
He walked to the door and stretched his hand out to give her the clothes. But the moment she tried to grab them, he pulled his hand back playfully.
But who was he playing with? His squirrel wasn’t weak or shy. She was bold herself.
With a smirk, Siya threw the bathroom door wide open and stepped out drenched, hair clinging to her skin, wearing nothing but her towel.
Ruhaan froze, his jaw falling slack. Her body was only wrapped in a white towel, fresh from her shower .
The air between them thickened instantly. His throat went dry, his body shivering under the sight of her fearless beauty.
And then the most unexpected thing happened…
The towel clung to Siya’s curves, droplets of water sliding down her collarbone, tracing paths that made Ruhaan’s eyes widen. His breath hitched, his fingers tightening into fists by his side as if holding himself back.
“Squirell…” he whispered, his voice trembling, eyes darting away, “tum… iss tarah…”
[Squirrel… you… like this…]
She smirked, stepping closer, her wet hair dripping on his bare chest as she tilted her head.
“Ruhhh… whom were you trying to tease, hmm? You forgot I’m the boldness queen,” she said, her tone daring, her eyes locked on him.
