Siya leaned closer, her eyes gleaming with mischief, lips curling into a shameless smile.
"Can I have a kiss with my husband?" she asked, her voice dripping with boldness."
Ruhaan instantly lowered his gaze, unable to meet her eyes. The tips of his ears burned crimson, a shy blush crawling up his neck.
Siya noticed it instantly. Her lips curved as she whispered teasingly, her breath ghosting against his cheek.
"Are you blushing, Ruhaan Bedi?" she asked, stepping so close that their breaths mingled.
He quickly caught her hand, his palm warm and firm as he pulled her against his chest. Siya's heartbeat fluttered wildly at the sudden closeness.
"Ruhh... I will prefer..." his voice trailed off, husky and uncertain.
Siya smiled at his innocence, her lashes lowering for a second before she lifted her gaze again.
"Isn't it a little girlish, Ruhaan?" she teased.
"Maybe," he admitted softly, his lips twitching, "but it sounds good when it comes from your lips."
Her heart skipped a beat at the way he said it. She cupped his jaw, gazing directly into his eyes.
"I thought you were shy, Ruh," Siya said, her voice a mere whisper.
"I am..." he confessed, his thumb brushing over her knuckles, "but you are my wife. It will be wrong to feel shy in front of you... after all, we have to do a lot of sinful things." His tone turned teasing, his eyes darkening with a mischievous glint.
Her breath caught in her throat. "You again proved me wrong. I thought you were innocent... but you can't be innocent." Her words came out in a soft tremor, her lips grazing the edge of his ear.
"I am innocent," he said firmly, his eyes glimmering with something deeper than desire. Then, almost brokenly, he whispered, "Why did you marry me, squirrel?"
The sudden question made her blink. His eyes were filled with raw emotions, questions that had no easy answers.
"Because I wanted to be with you," Siya breathed out, her heart twisting. The nickname squirrel sent butterflies storming inside her stomach, making her weak.
Ruhaan's expression grew pained. "You know I am just a middle-class man, squirrel... and you are a queen. I don't deserve you. I have nothing, and you deserve the whole world." His voice cracked, heavy with the weight of his insecurities.
Siya instantly pulled back, a sudden coldness slipping into her tone as she looked at him with fiery eyes.
"Listen, Mr. Siya Ruhaan Bedi... I don't want to know who you are or how much you earn. I have enough money, and I deserve you. Only you. Understand?"
Her voice shook with unshaken conviction.
Siya chuckled softly, brushing her fingers against his collar. "I'm sorry I married you like this... but I'm not regretting it, Ruh."
He raised a brow. "I've heard you don't say sorry to anyone."
Her eyes softened, her throat tightening with emotion. "But you are not just anyone. You are my husband. My family."
Without another word, she grabbed his collar with hands, her lips crashing onto his. The kiss was not gentle it was hungry, desperate, the kind that left no space between their bodies.
