In the heart of a small village called Kadayanallur in Tenkasi lived Baakya and Muthuraman.
Baakya was the fourth-born daughter of a once-respected family.
Now in their eighties, the couple lived a poor, simple life with very little to show for all their years.
Unlike Baakya's elder siblings, who had cared for their children and helped them build good lives, Baakya and Muthuraman remained selfish. They rarely supported their children and thought only of themselves.
Their eldest son, Karnan, was married to Eeshwari. They had two daughters,
Maari (22): Recently completed her engineering degree in Virudhunagar, still searching for a suitable job.
Madhavi (26): Completed two commerce degrees and briefly worked in Madras before pausing her career for her upcoming marriage.
Their second son, Gurunadhan, was married to Saroja. They had two children,
Latha (21): Studying engineering in Madurai.
Chandran (18): Studying B.Com in Tenkasi.
Their only daughter, Suradha, was a widow. She had three children,
Kumar (29): Taking care of his late father's agriculture work along with his grandfather, Muthuraman.
Senguttuvan (24): Aimless and jobless.
Devisree(21): Studying B.Com in Madurai.
Yet, within this household, one little family of four shone brighter.... Karnan, Eeshwari, Madhavi, and Maari. Through dreams and hardships, they leaned on each other and found strength in their togetherness.
The main female lead is Maari, and the story revolves around her.
