Meanwhile, Guy, Lee, and Tenten made their way across the battlefield, only to see Gaara, Sakura, and Naruto fly overhead toward Kakashi's location. They decided to follow them. As Madara flew to the same destination, he spat out the Kohaku no Jōhei and Benihisago, noting that they were weighing him down. The two weapons landed on top of Guy and Lee's heads, while Tenten was shocked at their reappearance.
On another part of the battlefield, Kakashi and Minato battled Black Zetsu. Gaara and his group arrived, and Gaara explained the situation to Minato, urging him to give Naruto the other half of Kurama's chakra. As Minato began the transfer, Black Zetsu suddenly intercepted him, absorbing Yin-Kurama and becoming its jinchūriki. Just then, Madara arrived, chastising Black Zetsu for taking too long. Black Zetsu told Madara that he had successfully taken half of the Nine-Tails' chakra and Madara told him to give it to him immediately. Black Zetsu tried, but Obito regained control of himself. Minato, Kakashi, and Gaara tried to interfere but were countered by Madara, who cut off Minato's remaining arm. Madara and Obito discussed Obito's identity, and Obito shoved his hand into Madara's chest, manifesting the same shakujō he wielded as the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki.

Mina rushed to Sasuke's side, kneeling beside him as she placed her hands on his wound. "Hang on, Sasuke. I'll heal you." Sasuke's eyes flickered toward her, filled with pain and determination. "Mina... tell Naruto... I believe in him..." "Save your breath, Sasuke.

You're not dying today," Mina said, her eyes narrowed as she focused her chakra, beginning to heal his wound.
While Kakashi, Minato, and Lee attempted to dissuade Guy from using his fatal technique, they realized the futility of their efforts once they saw Guy's commitment. As Lee began shedding tears for his master, Guy told him it was no time for tears. The noble shinobi rushed toward Madara once more, sticking his thumb into his chest and opening the Eighth Gate of Death. As he began transforming into a crimson beast, Guy reflected on his father, Might Duy, a shinobi only talented in taijutsu like himself and his pupil, who was once disgraced because of his faults. Remembering how Might Duy gave up his life after using the Eighth Gate to save him and his teammates from the previous Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, Guy realized that his time had come to sacrifice himself for the safety of his comrades. As Madara berated Guy's abilities, Guy immediately attacked him with the Evening Elephant, a new technique. He managed to land a blow on the legendary shinobi and sent him plummeting into the ground, creating an extremely deep crater. While Guy lamented the pain caused by using the first attack, Madara noted that Guy had become extremely powerful and decided it would be best to avoid being hit by the technique at all costs.
As Guy and Madara prepared to clash again, Minato, Lee, Kakashi, and Gaara decided to aid Guy by disabling Madara's black orbs. As Lee opened the sixth gate, their plan succeeded; they were able to warp away the black orbs and create an opening for Guy to use the five steps of the Evening Elephant. Though severely beaten, Madara noted that he had not had this much fun since his battle with Hashirama, greatly surprising Guy. Meanwhile, in the other dimension, Naruto finally opened his eyes.
Mina watched as Guy battled Madara, her eyes widening as she saw the devastating power of the Evening Elephant. "Incredible... Guy's power is immense." Sasuke, now fully healed, stood beside her, his eyes narrowed as he watched the battle. "We need to help him. Madara's not going to go down easily." Mina nodded, her hands weaving intricate seals.

"I'll use my space-time jutsu to get us close. Then we can attack him together."
