"We need to get going, if we want to finish this safely I suggest we include the heroes in the matter." Kim said as he mounted his horse, his black hair fluttered slightly from the movement.
"It would both dim their suspicions and make it easier for us" he said firmly as he glanced at his twins with a sharp look.

It was well past midnight, the quiet air of the forest broken only by the faint rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of crickets, along with occasional noise of nearby monsters. The moonlight filtered through the branches above, casting pale silver streaks across the ground where the three brothers sat huddled beneath an old oak tree. The long day had drained them, both in body and spirit, yet none of them looked remotely close to sleep. The competition's end loomed just one day away, and unease lingered heavily in the air.

“Whoever’s been attacking…” Kim finally spoke, his voice low but steady, emerald green eyes reflecting the moonlight, “they’ll definitely make their move tomorrow.”

Barrow, who was leaning against the trunk with his arms crossed, frowned. “Why tomorrow? What makes you so sure?”

Kim didn’t answer right away. His gaze flickered toward the direction where the heroes had set up camp—not too far, yet just far enough for their hushed voices to remain private. Finally, he let out a slow sigh, his tone carrying a sharp edge. “Obviously, they're aiming for something big. If they chose to attack now, of all times, it means they're waiting for the competition in the first place, they will definitely go on with the plan before it is concluded"

Cale gave an exaggerated eyeroll, his reddish-brown eyes glinting with irritation in the dim light. “How could such a stupid mongrel be my twin?” he muttered under his breath, more to himself than anyone else, though his voice was laced with enough disdain for Barrow to hear.

Barrow shot upright, glaring daggers at his youngest brother. “Shut it, you bastard! And who are you calling stupid? Don’t forget I’m your hyung—you little—” he cut himself off, teeth grinding as he resisted the urge to hurl another insult. Kim was giving him a look as if daring him the continue.

They sat in silence for a moment after, each lost in thought. Not far away, the faint crackle of the heroes’ campfire carried on the wind. Earlier, Kim had taken the chance to speak with them, and although they had been hesitant at first—suspicious, even—the moment he mentioned the shadow of an organization pulling the strings, their expressions had shifted. The doubt in their eyes turned into sharp focus, their unease into grim determination.

Kim had expected as much. He knew it was the organization that had drawn them here in the first place, and anything related to it would always capture their attention.

"Are we truly certain about trusting them?" Rosalyn asked, her sharp eyes scanning the group before flicking toward the three who were sitting slightly apart. "For all we know, they could be deliberately trying to make us believe they are not connected to the organization by acting indirectly."

"I agree with Miss Rosalyn," Jack said firmly, his expression grim. "The organization is far too dangerous. No matter how hard we’ve tried, we haven’t been able to track them down properly. It’s possible these people have some relation to Thames. We’ve been investigating for so long and barely managed to uncover even the surface of their movements."
