"alright" y/n saw five smile softly before turning to talk to his co-worker.. or maybe boss, even though y/n saw them most of the time back then, he'd never really formally introduce her to any of them.. and now she knew why.

im still mad at him.. im still mad at him.. she thought before walking off to give them privacy about this whole investigation, but as y/n was walking away, five called on to diego and luther instead, introducing them to the current head of the CIA and giving them positions in the office (babysitting them)

"alright so where are we gonna go?" y/n walked by five as they approached lila who looked confused, glancing at five.

the woman furrowed both her brows before asking the man "wait- she's coming with us?--- why?" almost laughing by her last word.

"because i asked her to and she said yes" five answered truthfully.
"so you guys are good now?" lila smirked, raising her brows repeatedly as she teased.
five gave y/n the right to answer which she so clearly said "no" to.
"what the lady said" five muttered.

"oh.. well this is awkward" lila spoke before grabbing five and y/n's hand and spatial jumping them into a train station, the same train station y/n and five jumped to in the first place.

"okay" the only male in the train station started as they walked towards the empty platforms "let's do what we did last time" y/n didn't know if he was talking to her or to lila, the fact that lila teleported them there told her that the two had been here before just like they did "let's just ride one stop eastbound, go up to the apocalypse timeline, avoid getting killed and warp back to 2006- stop ben from ever going to the maldovan mansion, got that?" he explained.

y/n nodded and lila said seriously? in her mind "relax" lila smiled "its a rookie time travel mission five, we've done this a thousand times.. but time travel-wise, i don't get the whole subway thing alright?- im much more of a delorean kind of person yeah?"

the two ignored her, running up to the incoming train as if chasing it while lila saw a map on one of the benches "what's that?" y/n asked as five turned to look as well.

"just in case" lila shrugged before they entered the train, while lila was randomly spinning around the carriage of the train, y/n silently sat towards the end of the train, she had no mission on talking to the two, she was just watching them for diego so why would she even want to?

fiddling her hands before she heard y/n, so are we good? looking up to see five standing in front of her you fidget with your fingers when you're nervous "so i've been told" she looked away.
sitting next to her, five continued the conversation im really sorry.. i wasn't think it through.. i just didn't want everything to traumatize you.. "it didn't.." you don't know that-- "maybe i don't, but i could have at least known about my family right?" ... "i don't know what to think anymore five.. i honestly thought i liked you for a bit there.. maybe i was wrong.."

"i don't know what the two of you are talking about but five literally has PTSD from you dying over and over again-- he just doesn't want to loose you this time around" lila's voice rung through the carriage, y/n was too focused on five's voice to even notice that lila was planning on interfering the conversation "isn't that right five?"

five nodded it's true he suddenly took y/n's hand on his y/n let go.. her hand twitched y/n just let go.. i can't..

soon enough, the train came to it's first (and hopefully only) stop where five immediately noticed a familiar broken vending machine as they stepped out of the carriage "broken vending machine.. australia.. and three burnt out light bulbs" (how ironic)

"so what are we gonna do here exactly?" y/n wondered, following the two's lead you came all the way here without knowing about the plan? the girl in-between her fiance and her sister-in-law heard lila thought before chuckling "as a matter of fact: yeah, none of you were gonna tell me"

"tell you what?" five didn't even turn to the girl, just kept on walking towards the stairs that soon filled with ash floating in the air and smelled like smoke..

"where we are or why we're..--" the sight of a post apocalyptic wasteland greeted y/n.. five's post apocalyptic wasteland.. "--..here..?" she turned to five "five?"

cover your nose y/n did what five said as he looked around for something "..good, there's no sight of him" he sighed in relief.

"no sight of who?" the girl repeated.
"five, his pubescent self at least" lila answered.
"which is a good thing because: knowing me, i might have set up a trap" the only male added.

lila hummed "well lets get going before you start farting" y/n raised a brow to that but just took the two's arms "2006 here we comeeeeeee" lila manifested five's ability and time-travelled to the u̶m̶b̶r̶e̶l̶l̶a̶ fenix academy: 2006.

appearing in an academy hallway, y/n spoke "so did it work?" hoping it did.

five immediately walked through the hallway in search of a newspaper to see the date and sure enough: "october 14, 2006" he read out loud as the two women walked up to him.

"okay so we go in--" lila explained as five held his hand out so she'd go first "--we snuff ben out--" but catching y/n's palm when she tried to go first, earning a confused stare from the girl "--we get back on the tube, we're back before bath time" lila concluded.

wait what-- "we're not killing ben right??" was y/n's first and extremely important question about this whole scene.

what? five immediately turned to her before turning to lila "we're not killing him lila" he stated clear as day "we're just diverting him, making sure that he doesn't go on that mission" he continued "now i haven't seen him in like 5 years but--" five suddenly turned to y/n "wait.. you're not experiencing paradox psychosis?"

get to think of it, she hasn't "no.. something's wrong.." but before lila or five could respond, the academy alarm started to ring causing five's survival instincts to kick in and grab both of the ladies and hide themselves by the stairs.

"step lively children! we have a mission to do!" the three heard reginald hargreeves command ever so calmly..

"what could have possibly gone wrong?" five muttered to himself, adding to the weirdness of the situation, y/n could have sworn that the mission happened at night.. the place looked like it was set in the afternoon-- luther suddenly walked out of his room in a questionable yellow uniform- what the hell was happening?? did they jump to the wrong timeline or what?-- oh wait they can do that?

okay so this was supposed to be a lot longer and more things were supposed to happen this chapter but i was thinking of putting those in the 100th chapter to make it at least interesting :p

ALSO IM SO SORRY THAT ITS BEEN LIKE what? a month?!?!? EUGH I MISS YALL SO MUCH and i miss writing and honestly just having time to do stuff like this, i just can't seem to find time because of school-- and a potential love interest???? but if he aint like the five i written, i don't want him-- like bro im literally a romance author, the standards are high hello??
