The preparation for the ball was exhausting to say the least. The combination of finding an outfit and fixing my bruises really wore me down.
As if it couldn't get any worse... Padmé is attending the sort of — how do I describe it —party type thing for me to find a suitor.
She's just so unintelligent but emotionally manipulative to my parents.
I could murder her.
But then I'd face the consequences, and I'd rather not, she's not worth the consequences.
My dress was beautiful, cinched tight around my waist just to avoid being called fat again by my mother.
The corset is suffocating: almost like the life I'm living.
18 years of mistreatment really ruins your mood.
I can't find a moment where I don't think of what life would be like if I was just... free.
"(Y/n), get out here now. You can't be late, mother and father will get angry. You wouldn't want that... would you?" Padmé taunts from outside my door.
"I'm coming, okay?" I take one last look in the large mirror in my room, taking in my appearance.
I had to wear a formal dress, one that would show my 'feminine elegance' to the suitors.
