"She has a buildup of scar tissue from constantly reopening the wound. Do you by any chance know how that happened, Skyler?"

My cheeks started to burn.

I think back to last night, and pretty much every other night since we got back together.... Yeah, Ellie doesn't know the word easy.

"No, Doc. I have no idea why that is."

Abby hummed, clearly not believing me, but part of me thinks she's getting off to it.

"You're both twisted, but hey, I gotta get back to work, but oh, also, Chelley mentioned if you two would be there. Said she'd bring drinks and games."

The phone is momentarily snatched back, "I gotta get back to class. I'll text you when I can, baby. Love you."
Ellie was rushed, so rushed to the point that I didn't even get the chance to respond. I guess her time management skills haven't improved much.

"Anyways..." Abby exhaled into the phone, and I could practically hear the eye roll.

Surprised that Chelley's invite was even extended to us, but more shockingly, to me.
Damn, I kinda wish we could. I bet it would've been fun...

"Can't... we're going away for the weekend."

"Oh? Where to?"

I debated telling her. I didn't want to say anything too soon because truth be told, I was petrified. It was a big, scary thing in my head especially when there was so much mystery surrounding the topic.

My finger traced along the bruises of my thighs, playing connect the dots up to where my shorts cut off.

"I'll tell you all about it after if it goes well, okay?"

She hummed, and in my head, she was crossing her arms over her chest like she usually did when she was concerned.

"Sounds serious. You okay?"

My finger goes back to the most recent bruise, still plum in color, and pressed down.

"Yeah... just don't wanna fuck it up, you know?"

The muffled sound of a phone ringing in the background could be heard, and Abby's breathing too.

"Whatever it is..." Abby eventually said, trying hard to not sound worried, but you could always tell.

"Just be yourself and you won't."

It was getting late. The sun had already set and I was getting ready in the bathroom off our bedroom when I heard the sound of the front door opening and closing.

"Babe?" Ellie called out.

"I'm in here!"

Her footsteps were getting louder and heavier down the hall and she approached our bedroom when I met her in the doorway.

"Thank god. Thought I missed you." She smiles, kissing me mid lip gloss application to which, I whipped away the shiny, shimmering gloss from her lips with a finger.

She started to undress, taking her blazer off, and unbuttoning the buttons on her shirt.
"Sorry I'm so late. Exam week is kicking my ass. Did you eat dinner yet?"

I, of course, watched as she continued to undress down to her boxers, ignorant to my lustful gaze before she joined me in the bathroom to start the shower.

"Uh, no-" I cleared my throat, embarrassed by the amount of desperation I continued to have whenever Ellie was present.

"I was just going to eat something at the club, but there are leftovers in the fridge for you."
