@billiescomet: i need to know how you know billie!! ___ waking up in the orphanage wasn't exactly on my agenda, i missed billie more than ever. however, she was still on tour and it was just impossible for me to stay with her at the moment. although she said she was working on getting something sorted as soon as she finished touring which was in a few days.
the door creaked open, revealing a small but tired phoenix, cuddling her beloved stuffy and blanket.
"hi phe!" i croaked out, forcing a smile.
"are you sad?" she questioned, furrowing her brows as she frowned.
"no baby, i'm okay." i spoke, smiling at her softly. she shrugged, climbing onto my lap.
"jason was mean to me earlier." she frowned, tears forming in her eyes.
"oh baby." i whispered, my heart aching. it wasn't like him to hurt phoenix or any of the girls. "what did he do phe?" i questioned as she pointed to her stomach.
"can you show me?" i asked, my voice laced with concern as she lifted her t-shirt up revealing a large bruise forming.
"oh phe." i muttered, internally cursing myself for not being here and protecting the younger girls. "does it hurt?" i questioned, receiving an eager nod from her.
"okay let's go get you some medicine and an ice pack." i spoke. phoenix whined, putting her arms out towards me.
"okay, i'll carry you." i muttered, letting out a light chuckle.
i made it to the kitchen, picking up a small ice pack and the bottle of tylenol. i could feel jason glaring at me.
"i don't know who you think you are but you don't go around hurting 6 year olds like that. she's six for fuck sakes!" i yelled, covering phoenix's ears as jason laughed, clearly amused by my outburst.
i scoffed, making my way to the girls' bedroom.
"hey girlies! do you think you could grab your blankets, toys and stuffies and meet me in eleni's room?" i questioned as they all nodded, grabbing their belongings.
cautiously, i walked back towards eleni's room, keeping my eye out for jason.
"okay love, here you go." i spoke, preparing the small syringe of tylenol as i gave it to phoenix.
