GLORIA'S HOUSE – EVENING
Lillian unlocked the door and stepped inside, expecting the usual quietness of home–only to pause in suprise. David was Sitting comfortably at the dinning table, dressed casually with a friendly smile on his face.
Lillian:(startled)
''David? I didn't expect you to be here.''
David:(chuckling softly)
''You said you'd tell me everything after work. I figure it would be too much for a phone call...so I decided to visit instead.''
Before Lillian could respond further. Gloria walked out the kitchen with three bowl of noodles.
Gloria: (grinning)
''Perfect timing. I made enough for a guest.''
They all sat down to eat together, the room filled with light laughter and casual conversation. David ask about her first week at work,Lillian shared a few funny moments, carefully avoiding any emotional details about victor. Gloria watch closely but stayed mostly quiet.
After dinner,Gloria stretched and stood up.
Gloria:
''I'm so tired...I'll leave you two. Lillian, be a good host and work him out.''
QUIET STREET – NIGHT
The air was cool as Lillian and David walked slowly down the street. The city lights soft around them. They chatted lightly until David suddenly stopped walking.
David:(gentle tone)
''Lillian,i didn't just come to hear about your job. I came because I like you.''
Lillian:(softly)
''David... I–''
David:(smiling calmly)
''You don't have to say anything right now. I just wanted you to know how I feel. Take your time...I'll wait for your answer.''
There was quiet pause between them. Lillian didn't respond–her heart caught between confusion, surprise, and something she couldn't name.
David nodded slowly and smiled again.
David:
''Good night,Lillian.''
He turned and walked away, living Lillian standing under the streetlight, her thoughts racing.
VICTOR'S HOUSE – NIGHT
Victor stepped into his quiet, modern home, the soft hum of the city outside barely reaching him. He loosened his tie, waking into his kitchen where Mrs mara had left his dinner neatly covered. He ate in silence, his thoughts distant.
Later,in his dimly lit study, victor stood by the large window. Sipping a glass of water, the city lights reflecting off the glass.
His phone buzzed–a text from his mother checking in. He replied briefly, and placed the phone down.
But he wasn't thinking about work... Or even family.
He was thinking about Lillian.
The moment she smiled while reading his schedule. The way her voice steadied even under pressure. The softness in her eyes when she handed him coffee...and especially that night when he pulled her closed, saving her from the car. His heart has reacted before his mind could.
Victor sighed his hand ran through his hair, frustrated by how much space she had taken in his thoughts.
Victor:(to himself)
''What is wrong with me? Why am always thinking about her?''
He walked to his desk, sat down, and opened a file–but the words blurred. His heart had already wandered somewhere else.
