I had just woken up. Galaxy was two now and I could play rough with her and not get in trouble with mom. "G" I whispered in her ear. "What?" She replied, her eyes only half open. "Wanna play?" I asked. "Duh." She said, as if she had been awake for hours. Galaxy followed me past mom and dad, who were sleeping next to each other, my dads wings over mom. We walked out of the cave, that was high on a mountain. When the NightWings went to live in the rainforest, my mom and my dad decided it would be better for me to grow up around "civilized" dragons, as if RainWings weren't civilized, which they obviously were. I personally thought the NightWings were the "un-civilized" ones. The early morning sun beat down on our wings. It warmed our scales giving them the energy we needed. Just then, dad walked out. "What are you two doing up so early?" He asked, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Mom came out behind him. "Shouldn't you two be hunting?" She asked, even though she knew it was her day to hunt. "I'm hungry." Galaxy complained. "Alright, alright." Said mom. "I'll go get us some breakfast. Goat?" She asked. "Yes!" We all replied in unison. My mom flew off, searching for breakfast. That was the last day I would ever see my mom. Alive, at least.
