A few days later

Sade finally managed to catch up on her sleep and make the appointments she booked for herself. Because what's the point in working yourself so hard if you're not going to enjoy the fruits?

Her first stop was a full body treatment at a spa along with getting a matching french tip manicure and pedicure. She tried her best to keep up with her maintenance but it wasn't always a guaranteed success

The next stop was to get her hair done. She was able to keep up weekly maintenance on her wigs and sew ins but it felt good to be pampered and allow someone else to take care of you. She had already had her hair taken down so all she needed was a wash, braids and install

Even though she was pulled into so many different conversations it was hard for her to stay out of her own head because in a way she felt guilty about the current phase of her marriage

Nothing seemed to work for them. Anything a person can imagine she's tried it. The last step was marriage counseling as to which Jeremiah only attended two sessions before he flat out refused to attend anymore. It felt like she had a roommate vs a man in the house

It's sad to say but genuinely Sade was fully aware that the two had drifted apart awhile ago and it was to the point where things weren't going to change especially if she's the only one trying to

Once she turned around in her beauticians chair her face lit up, seeing how beautiful she looked and seeing how a new look can completely transform a person. Before she left she tipped $200 on top of what she paid for the install

Before she returned home she ended up taking a quick trip down Rodeo Dr. to pick up a few things as well as do some window shopping. This also was something she did often just to waste time instead of having to sit in the house under Jeremiah

The first stop she took was inside of Louis Vuitton to pick up an order she made online. The bag she purchased had been on her wishlist for a couple of months now, even though she could afford this bag 3x over she was still very smart with her finances & still had a budget in place for luxury spending

Sade's final stop was in Sephora. She needed to restock on a couple things because she was on the verge of running out. While she color matched a blush to her skin tone, she overheard a little girl giggling—now with her full attention she turned to see the little girl laughing because her mom was applying a highlighter to her cheekbones

"Daddy said I can't wear makeup"

"This can be our secret Aaliyah"

The little girl held her fingers to her lips and waited for her mom to do the same thing in return

"He's probably looking for us anyways, you know he hates coming in here"

The mother wiped off the makeup and grabbed her daughters hand as they turned to exit the store

"I can't wait to be a big girl like you mommy"

Overhearing this warmed Sade's heart. Truthfully she couldn't wait to be a mother and being able to experience motherhood, one of the few things she was unable to give herself

Before she got too deep into her emotions she grabbed the few items she needed and even a new perfume by Good Girl and checked out

It was now going on 5pm as she returned home with her shopping bags. The first thing she noticed was how clean the house was, it gave a sense of relief coming home to a clean home

Walking into the kitchen she grabbed herself a cup out of the cabinet and poured a glass of water when Jeremiah came out of his room and followed her into the kitchen placing a kiss on her shoulder

"Hey babe..."

"Hey" she responded lowly

He was close enough on her that she could smell alcohol reeking off his breath and even coming out of his pores. Of course his intoxication was rubbing Sade the wrong way because his intoxication had slowly started to become a problem as well as his aggressions

Trying to avoid conflict she grabbed her phone and tried to make her way upstairs

"Wait" he grabbed at her arm pulling her back towards him

"Can you let me go?"

"Just come here for a second please"

He leaned in trying to give her a kiss but she moved her head before he had the opportunity. This only irritated him and caused his grip around her arm to get tighter

"Wassup with you Sade?!"

"Nigga you barely get off yo ass to clean in and you think ima give you some!? You lost your fuckin mind"

"And that's why this marriage fallin apart cause you got a smart ass mouth. You treat me like I'm less than a man and I'm sick of that shit!"

"And what do I get treated like? Putting the blame of this entire marriage on me is really insane"

"It is all your fault..bitch couldn't even give me a kid"

Hearing those words shot a sting in Sade's chest. No matter how bad their arguments had gotten he had never thrown that topic in her face. The line was definitely crossed

"Jeremiah get the FUCK out of my house!"

She took a sip of her water and made her way up to her bedroom and locked the door immediately behind her. Sade truly hated how bad things had gotten between the two of them but this was just the reality. No going back and past its point of return

Walking over to her desk she glanced over the divorce papers she had printed out. She hesitated serving him because she knew she'd be leaving him with nothing for one, but also this was the man she seen herself having a family and marrying one day. Now it's to the point of separating and getting as far away as they could from one another
