"Kabhi kabhi, ek unknown naam sabse zyada apna lagta hai."

📍 Hotel Room, Midnight — Shubman’s POV
He stared at the blinking cursor.
For someone whose life played out on giant screens,
he suddenly couldn’t decide… how to begin.
But her letter — that one —
it had done something.
He re-read the part:
> "Mujhe tumhare reason ke peeche ka insaan pasand aaya hai."
How do you reply to something like that?
How do you stay silent?
He took a breath.
And started typing.

SHUBMAN GILL:
“You asked me once what music I listen to.”
“I never told anyone this but... there’s this one Arijit song I play every time before walking in to bat.”
“Not because it pumps me up.”
“But because it reminds me of home.”
“Ma used to hum it while making chai.”
“I never told her… but that’s why I always play it.”
> “Some days, I miss being invisible.”
“I miss being just a boy from Fazilka.”
“Not someone people track on fantasy leagues.”
“Thank you for not asking for selfies.”
“Or shirtless pics.”
“Or fav cricketer lists.”
> “Thanks for being quiet.”
“And real.”
> “I still don’t know your name.”
“But for the first time in a long time…”
“I feel like someone sees me. Not the scoreboard.”

He hovered over "Send" for a second.
Then hit it.
No overthinking.
No deleting.
Just truth, straight from the chest.

📍 Saara’s Room, a minute later
Her phone vibrated.
She saw his name — not a notification.
A full message.
She clicked.
And halfway through reading it,
her eyes welled up.
Her heart was thumping so fast she pressed her palm against it like that could slow it down.
> “I still don’t know your name…”
“But for the first time in a long time… I feel like someone sees me.”
She whispered to herself:
> “Main sirf dekh nahi rahi thi… main mehsoos kar rahi thi.”
---
She didn’t reply immediately.
Because some things… deserve silence first.
The kind that says, "I heard you. Truly."
And in that pause — between typing and waiting —
something beautiful began.
