Prologue

Okay, so, guys, this is a new story and I've no idea what the plan is. As per usual, I'm winging it all the way, with only a piece of A6 paper containing a title, cover idea, tag line for the cover, and two bullet points to guide me into the story, your guess as to what's going to happen is as good as mine. I would like to tell you all that I'd be extremely grateful for any reader input throughout the story and will always try to take it in to consideration when I'm writing.

Enjoy, fan and vomment. Thanks, Josie, x.

O...O...O...O...O...O...O...O...O...O

What was going on? Why was this happening? How could it be happening?, I thought to myself as I stared at what I had hidden from for years. I had shielded myself from it, built walls too high to measure, barricades strong enough to hold off the hand of God, and hidden so well that even the best Where's Wally? player couldn't find me. How could it be happening now?

Slumping against the wall, I slid down until I was sitting with my back resting against it and my knees to my chest. My elbows were on my knees and my head was in my hands. As I took deep breaths, a throat was cleared from across the room. Reluctantly, I lifted my head to see it staring back at me. It felt like it was looking in to my soul as I looked, gave my full attention. Tears brimmed in my eyes as I felt my heart sink and my throat close up when a slight connection was made and I knew there was no turning back.

As the words were about to fall from my mouth, they got caught, and my lips moved but no noise was made, there was only the empty feeling in my stomach exasperating my brain and urging me to say the words. The tears fell again and I lent back against the wall. I didn't want to think about it, but I knew I had to face up to it some day, even if it terrified me in to oblivion just thinking about doing so.

"How... how did you do it?" I uttered, not wanting to wait for a response.
