season one CHAPTER 006
"It's Homecoming Huddle, what did you expect?"
OCTOBER 21st, 2023 saturday
It was Homecoming Huddle, the most important day in Silver Falls.
Natalie was currently at the silent auction stand, awaiting people to come over as nobody has yet.
"Welcome everybody to the Silver Falls High Homecoming Huddle and charity drive!" Her principal yells through the mic to the hundreds of people at the event.
The crowd whoops and cheers while she lightly claps.
"Now give it up for, The Bighorns cheerleaders!" He welcomes the girls out as music starts to play, greeting them to dance.
Nat watched them dance, nodding and smiling with support before her attention is blocked by a tall, brunette man.
"Hello, gorgeous." He smiles, catching her eyes and making them flutter instantly.
"Hey, Wesley." She smirks, crossing her arms together out of coldness.
"You're just so.. formal." He looks her up and down slowly, chasing her to sigh.
"Yeah, I stayed over at the Walter's last night—Jackie let me borrow her clothes since I didn't have any of mine."
He adjusts the black beanie on his head, giving Natalie a questionable look. "Okay." He exhales, taking a peak at the cheerleaders before back to Nat.
"Are you cold?" He questions, analyzing her shaking body.
She nods quickly, "Yeah, actually I am." She smiles, suspecting he was going to offer her his jacket.
He looks back at the front, noticing the football legend on the stage now, talking about football.
He was Bighorns quarterback in '92 and also Skylar's dad. It was Mato Summerhill.
"Okay, I got to go." He says quickly, starting to walk off towards the large group of people, causing Nat to stand there alone.
He didn't even give her his jacket.
"Oh, hey!" He turns around, giving her hope as she looks back up.
