Chapter 41: Can You Hear The Siren Call?

"Mom! There!" I point to the Crimson dragon tossing ogres about. Moms big black wings flap quickly and we descend to the battlefield. Bodies of many lay upon the ground. The mist appears to have only cured some. We land gently onto our feet. Mothers wings shielding me from the raging winds. Fluttering open slowly. My eyes meet orange ones.

"S-Sye!!!" Vinmir exclaims, racing to me, picking me up in his arms and spinning with me. Before staring at me then to behind me. I follow his gaze. Freezing.

I lay lifeless near Karim. A child stands in front of Karim petting his head, Karim's arms wrapped around the small child's waist. The little boy shines with porcelain skin, sparkling black hair, pointed ears, blinding green eyes and poofy pink wings. I stumble forward to them. My eyes on the Siren me laying dead on the ground. Hole in my stomach and blood pooling around. I gulp. Then my mouth drops. The Siren God blinks his eyes open gaze meeting mine and smiles. I cover my face, blinded.

"Sye..." Karim says, meekly. I look at my hands. The writing it's back. My wings are back. I'm back. Karim lifts the little boy into his arms and rushes to me. Hugging me tightly. My eyes on the empty spot on the ground. A lone pool of blood remains. Mom darts ahead.

"Brother Sylnya!!!" Mom screams, excited. Filled with happiness. The clouds part and a shining mixed breed busts through.

Beneath the stars, face to face,
I told ya I love ya, won't let your
heart break.

"Voices?" I question. Ulin smiles.

"The voices of the forbidden breed. The departed. They are here. Prepare to watch history in the making." Ulin announces, sighing calmly. I wait, the little boy caressing my cheek. Grinning.

"Mama." He chuckles, my heart gives way and I fill with joy.

I run to the moon, I walk on the sea, I'll start a new world, for you and me~

"And I'll save you when the sky falls, can you hear the Siren call~" Mother's voice rumbles over the others. I gawk, amazed.

So to get there, we can break down the walls, can you hear the Sirens call...

"Now I'm everywhere you know, that I'll never let you go, cause I'll save ya when the sky falls, can you hear the Sirens call?" A new voice bellows out over my moms. Titan gasps in surprise eyes widening.

"Dandi." He mutters, cracking the glimpse of a ghost of Elven warrior, walking closer to Xyrie. Xyrie freaks out, pulling his hair, covering his ears. Rage consuming his soul. Hatred boiling up.

"Stop it! Shut up! Don't call Sylnya! Don't!!" Xyrie pleas, wavering to his knees on the ground. The ground around him glowing in a circle. "No! Don't!"

~Can you hear the Siren call~

BAM!!

"Hold on!" I shout, Owl flings by us screaming as he flies with the burst of wind. Ulin grabbing him. The child screams, scared. "Silka, shh, it's okay."

"Silka, it's okay." Karim repeats after me, crashing his sword into the ground holding us steady. My feet move forward. I leave their side. My body possessed moving closer to Xyrie trapped within the circle. Ghosts of the dead part and let me through. I'm scared. I come to halt close to the circle. Xyrie cries, bloody tears.

"Hold on, we're so strong. Now we fight as one." My voice roars over the others electrified. I touch my neck, wondering how I knew the song. Where did I hear it before?
