Too many of us wander through life wondering whether we really are in charge of what we're doing. We wake up and go to work, come home and spend a few hours with our families, go to bed, and then wake up the next day and repeat the process.
Sometimes it can feel like quicksand: the more you struggle against it, the deeper you seem to get. We all have to face our limitations, and it's important to understand there are many things that are within our control, probably more than we realize. It's easy to point the finger of blame at the things that we think are holding us back. That seldom gets us what we really want. No matter what our personal circumstances might be, what a lot of us really need is to understand that we have more power than we realize.
