Faye's POV

Four years later

The moment I walk through the door, I feel her eyes on me.

One of the small cameras is hidden between all the green leaves in our living room. I don't look at it. I just take off my jacket, hang it up, slip off my shoes, and roll my sleeves.

I've gotten more relaxed since I started living with Yoko. A little messier too. But that's not a bad thing.

You know what really helps you relax? Faking your own death. Seriously, it's the best. I've never felt this free before. Yoko made it happen. She still keeps an eye on my old world—watching the people I left behind. But no one ever came looking for me.

As far as everyone knows, I disappeared along with Noknoi. Maybe someone found us when we were out of the country. Oh well. That's just part of the job.

We had to move far away, of course. I couldn't risk being seen. So we packed up everything—including all of Yoko's houseplants—and moved hundreds of miles away. We started a new life. I even gave Ola enough money to retire.

Now our new house looks like a jungle. There are green leaves and vines everywhere. It smells like fresh earth. Sometimes I expect to hear monkeys. But all I hear right now is a keyboard clicking in the distance.

That means Yoko's home. Probably watching me through the hallway camera. She's always watching everything. And these days, we work together. We deal with people's secrets—and business is good. There are always new secrets to find.

I walk to our baby's room and peek inside. The crib is near the window, where the sunlight shines in. Yoko picked plants with bright yellow flowers for this room.

I step in, gently fix the baby's blanket, and brush her soft cheek. She stirs a little, so I step back quietly. My heart swells every time I look at her. Or at Yoko.

But I don't wake her. Not yet. I want a quiet moment with my wife. I shut the door gently behind me.

Yes, there are cameras in the baby's room too. If she needs us, we'll know right away.

When I step into Yoko's office, she doesn't even turn around.

"What's for dinner?" she asks.

I grin and walk over, brushing past a long plant hanging from the ceiling. She's sitting at her desk, surrounded by screens. One screen shows the baby's room. One shows the hallway. The rest? Bank accounts, emails, and lines of code.

"You're not even going to say you missed me?"

She's sitting with her feet tucked under her, like always. It makes her legs go numb, but she keeps doing it. I gently brush her hair off her neck and kiss her ear.

"Of course I missed you," she says, punching my arm lightly. "I always miss you. And your food."

"Then let's make a deal," I say, rubbing her stiff shoulders. "If you stop working and let me do what I want to you... I'll cook whatever you want tonight."

She doesn't say anything at first. I know she's thinking about it. She hates stopping in the middle of a task. But come on... it's an easy choice.

When she still doesn't answer, I spin her chair around.

"Hey!" she laughs, pretending to be mad. But she's already pulling her shirt off and tossing it at me. It's still warm from her skin. "You're so bossy, Faye."

I smile and lean down, pulling her underwear down slowly.

"Oh yeah, this must be so hard for you," I tease.

She grins. That look melts me every time.

"I want pizza tonight," she says.

"You got it."

"And I want to see you spin the dough in the air."

I smirk as I kneel down between her legs.

"Done."

Yoko runs her fingers through my hair. I press my lips to her skin. Even though I was only gone for a few hours, it felt way too long.

"Did you find any juicy secrets today, baby?"

She smiles.

"Always."

I kiss her inner thigh, close enough that she shivers.

"Tell me everything."

- The End! 😊
