Jin-ah opened the door and immediately was pressed against the wall, the door slamming shut. The keys dropped from her hands, and her purse slid down her arm and to the floor. Her eyes widened when she saw Joong-Ki right in her face.
"What were you doing at the cafe? Meeting a guy? You better not?"
Jin-ah struggled, trying to remove his hand from her wrist. She glared at him. "No, I was not. All I saw were Ara and Jeonghan. Then I left when you told me to come home."
Joong-Ki studied her some more before releasing his grip on her. "Hm, okay. Go get dressed. We are having an early dinner."
She grabbed her purse and walked past him, not giving him another look. She flinched when she felt a smack on her bottom. She rolled her eyes and continued to her room.
Once inside, she locked the door and threw her purse on the bed, along with her jacket. She went over to her closet and opened it, looking for a nice dress. He would be taking her somewhere high-end, classy, expensive. Just to show how much money he has.
She threw on the first dress she saw. A long sleeve, black fitted dress paired with black heels. She grabbed her purse. Before walking out the door, she grabbed her cell and checked it. One new message.
She unlocked her phone, and it opened.
Joshua: If you ever need someone to talk to, you can always call or text me.
She smiled and then quickly deleted the message. Whenever Joong-Ki got the chance, he would scroll through her phone, messages too. She placed her phone back in her purse and left her room. She was already looking forward to coming home and locking herself in her room. She had a feeling tonight wasn't going to go well, especially with the wedding talk.
"God, give me strength." She whispered. As she walked down the hallway, Joong-Ki was waiting foenher at the door, a big smile on his face.
Joong-Ki took them to a sushi restaurant. Even though he hated sushi, he knew Jin-ah loved it, and it was his way of apologizing. They ordered their food. She got two rolls, with miso soup and ginger salad, while he ordered chicken hibachi.
Jin-ah thought it would be best to talk about the wedding after eating. Once their food came, they ate. Mostly small talk about his work. She didn't say much. When they had finished and the waiter had taken their dishes away, Jin-ah took a sip of wine. Here it goes.
"Joong-Ki. I want to attend Seungcheol and Min's wedding. Next week. Seungcheol called me asking if I was going. I told him I never got the invitation."
Joong-Ki clenched his fist and glanced at her. "Are you sure you want to go? I mean, you haven't kept in contact with them much. Will you know people there?"
She sighed. Of course, she hasn't been in contact with them. It's because of Joong-Ki. "They are my friends. I grew up with Seungcheol, and Min was my college friend. Jeonghan and Ara will be going, too."
Joong-Ki sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Fine, but you are to stay by my side at all times. Okay?"
She glared at him. "Am I not allowed to mingle with my friends? It's not like I'm going to run off with someone. What if I want to have a girl talk with Ara?"
Joong-Ki glared back. "Fine. But I have to know where you are. And if that Joshua is there, stay away. I don't trust him."
Jin-ah nodded her head, taking a sip of wine. She trusts Joshua way more than Joong-Ki.
Once they got back to the house, they went their separate ways. She locked herself in her room and pulled out her phone, sending a message to both Seungcheol and Jeonghan that she would be at the wedding. The guys sent back happy emoji's.
