Chapter four: Find a way to tell him

Bonnie, Caroline, Elena, and Rebekah are still in the hotel room when Rebekah asks "How are you going to tell Nik?" Caroline pales slightly "I didn't even think about how I was going to him," Caroline states "We only just got here last night. Then this morning we went looking for your family." Caroline continues. "You can't just walk up and drop this on him." Bonnie said. "He doesn't even know we're here. How am I going to tell him? I don't want to hide it from him, he deserves to know." Caroline says. Rebekah looked at the panicking blonde, then said "I can help you figure out a way to tell him, Nik is my brother after all." Caroline looked at the elder vampire and gave a small smile. "Thank you Rebekah, truly thank you." Caroline said with sincerity in her eyes. "It's not a problem seeing as you're having my niece or nephew." Rebekah said.

The four ladies spent most of the afternoon coming up with a plan to tell Klaus about the baby. "Okay first he needs to know that Caroline is in the city." Bonnie said. "I could say I ran into you three, which is the truth." Rebekah spoke up. "Yeah but after that what?" Elena said. "He once said that when I was ready to show up at his door." Caroline explained. "Show up at his door? For what?" Elena asked, confused. "For when I was ready to be with him." Caroline said shyly. "Are you ready to be with him?" Rebekah asked. Caroline paused for a moment then spoke "I am, over the past four weeks he was all I thought about. I felt this pull on my heart when he left, like a part of me was leaving with him."

When Caroline finished talking she saw the three other women were looking at her. "You're in love with him." Bonnie said, looking at her friend. Caroline nodded her head. "I am, I really am." Caroline said while her eyes started to water. The other looked concerned when Caroline started to cry. "Oh, I'm fine just saying it aloud was just a relief. Also hormones." Caroline laughed out.

It took another two hours for them to come up with a complete plan for how Caroline was going to tell Klaus. "Okay just so I have this right Caroline you're going to approach my brother and express your feelings and then tell Nik you're pregnant." Rebekah said, saying the plan out loud to get it right. "That's what's going to happen, hopefully it goes as planned." Caroline says. "I'll keep Elijah and Kol out of the way." Rebekah said. "Then we should get going." Elena said.

The four ladies leave the hotel, heading to the Mikaelson's home. As they approach Caroline starts to feel more and more anxious. "I think my brothers are out currently, they should be back soon." Rebekah said, directing them to a sitting room. When Caroline sat down she let out a long slow breath. "Nervous?" Bonnie asked. All Caroline could do was shake her head yes. Bonnie grabbed Caroline's hand and gave a reassuring squeeze.

It was twenty minutes until the brothers came home. Rebekah stood from where she was standing to address them. "Look who I found today." Rebekah said, pointing to the three friends. When Caroline stood up she locked eyes with Klaus who looked surprised. Seeing the two locked in eye contact Rebekah hustled everyone out of the room.

"Caroline" Klaus breathed out. "Klaus," Caroline said.

And that is where we stop for now. I know a cliffhanger but I really enjoy writing this story so another chapter should be out soon after this one. You gotta give me a few days just to get things perfect.
