Sayra's POV

The second I stepped out of Bhai's car and into the glass doors of the firm, I could feel the clock mocking me.

9:47 AM.

Meeting was at 9:30.

My heels clacked against the marble floors like a countdown bomb, and every footstep echoed with one emotion: panic.

But I didn't let it show.

I adjusted the collar of my crisp beige blazer, fluffed my curls with one hand, and walked straight to the elevator like I was fashionably late on purpose. Power dressing? More like power pretending. But hey, fake it till you make it, right?

Inside the elevator, as the doors closed, I muttered under my breath, "Mahadev... I know I'm late. I know I skipped breakfast. I know I begged Aditya to be my Uber driver. But if you could just not let me mess this up... just today... I'll even go with Mumma to the mandir on Sunday without complaining. Promise."

The doors opened.

Game face on.

By the time I entered the glass conference room, the Oberoi Hills Resort team was already seated. Their files open, coffees in hand. My boss was standing near the screen, and the look he gave me was a solid 50% panic, 40% death glare, and 10% you-better-nail-this.

I flashed my most apologetic, confident smile. "Apologies for the delay. The city had other plans for my car this morning."

Mr. Oberoi—mid-50s, intimidating in the most polite, billionaire-resort-owner way—nodded slightly. "We've all been at the mercy of traffic, Ms. Dixit."

I took that as my cue and stepped forward.

Deep breath. Slide one.

"The Oberoi Hills Spa & Pool Retreat: Designed to Blend Serenity with Sophistication."

My voice was steady. My hands? Slightly sweaty. My slides? On point. Every element I had visualised—earthy tones, waterfall accents, stone textures that whispered luxury—flashed on the screen behind me.

I talked them through the flow of the space, the way the poolside lounge curved naturally with the hillside, the signature scent diffusers in the spa that echoed monsoon breezes, the zero-edge pool illusion, the private sunken jacuzzis overlooking the valley...
