There before him stood a statue of Lucy. Next to her a Statue of the first master, Mavis, stood too. They stood side by side, smiling, their hands reaching toward the sky.
Next to the statue of Mavis, a sign read, "I want fairy Tail to be a place where people can practice magic freely, take on jobs, and feel like they belong, Fairy Tail is not just a guild, it's also family"- Mavis Vermillion.
Next to Lucy's statue a sign next to her said, "Fairy Tail is not just a guild, we are family. It's a place where everyone is welcomed and where you can belong and be accepted for who you are. We won't ever back down from a fight, we will protect those we treasure and will never forget who we are, Because that's the fairy Tail way"- Lucy Heartfilia.
Natsu stared at the statues in front of him. "W-what is this..." he said softly. He walked closer to the statues until he stood in front of Lucy's. All around there were flowers and beautiful lights. Pictures of both old Fairy Tail members and current members. Then in between the statues was a table that had two portraits of Mavis and Lucy. Which read "The Hearts of Fairy Tail".
"Everyone agreed to make this place a memorial for both the first master and Lucy for they were both the hearts of our guild. Always wanting to make Fairy Tail a place to belong, to make sure all felt welcome, and to protect this place with all their power. They loved Fairy Tail and are the reason we are a guild". Erza said standing next to Natsu.
He stared at the portrait of Lucy. Tears were slowly falling from his eyes.
-Natsu POV-
I didn't expect this. A statue of Lucy stood before me. Along with a portrait of her. She looked so beautiful. She was smiling so brightly, holding up her hand with her guild mark on it. She was so happy when she first got her guild mark.
"We wanted to do something in honor of her, so when someone said she was a lot like the first master we made this memorial in honor of them. The two that treasured Fairy Tail more than anyone. The hearts of Fairy Tail". Erza spoke.
They were right. Both her and Mavis were similar in how they wanted and thought of Fairy Tail was. They both treasured this place and were the raw we were a guild. Mavis for founding Fairy Tail. And Lucy for never losing hope that we would all be together again, she brought us back together after the disband.
"There's something else I wanted to show you too". Erza said placing her hand on my shoulder. "I want you to take your hand and press it against Lucy's sign".
I held up my hand and slowly moved it to the sign pressing my hand on it. A second later a light appeared shining brightly. Then right before my eyes Lucy stood right in front of me.
"It's a video Lackrama. What you see is a prerecorded video". Erza said softly.
It's looked like she was being interviewed from the way she was dressed and sitting.
"What is Faiey Tail to me? Fairy Tail is my family. It's the place were you feel like you belong, you feel the warmth of everyone around. It's a place where you drink, laugh, cry, are loud, and where people just can't seem to not, not destroy things haha. But that's also what makes it so special. I know that no matter what I'll always protect it and the people who are most dear to me. Cause I want everyone to keep laughing and be happy. It's my home, my special place. Everyone needs a Fairy Tail. And I have mine. Fairy Tail will always be the place that's most dear to my heart and the place I'll vow to protect. For it's where the person I want to always be with is".
The video ended and the light disappeared. My heart felt tight. Yet I felt like I could breathe again. Hearing her voice, seeing her again, the message she said. I finally felt her presence.
"The guy from sorcerous weekly interviewed her but never used it, he kept the tape though because I guess he thought it'd be nice if we heard it". Erza said smiling at her Statue. "Fairy Tail will always be her home, she will always be apart of Fairy Tail. She out Heart".
Our Heart. Fairy Tail is her heart, the thing she treasures most. And she's mine, the thing I treasure most.
She's my Fairy Tail.
My home.
And because of that I need to protect the thing that she treasured most Fairy Tail, it's happiness. Her happiness.
"Thank you. Erza". I said.
Erza looked at me in surprise and smiled.
"Of course, Natsu".
We left and headed back up to the main guild area. I looked around. Even as the guild was empty I could hear the laughter and clinking of bottles, the noise of people fighting and the girl who would call my name.
"In your stead, I'll protect the thing most precious to you, the keep the happiness and warmth that you loved so much.
I promise you, Lucy". I mumbled.
