Season 4
Episode 1:
EchoesThe next hour was spent checking on everyone to make sure they were okay. Some people had died of course. And I made sure to apologize to everyone who lost someone. "The king is alive!" I hear someone yell and turn. "Roan is here?" I ask Murphy who was next to me.
"I was busy making sure you stayed alive. I don't know." He tells me. I run towards the voice seeing them rolling a body over. Roan's face was covered in blood as I kneel next to him. "Oh god. He got shot helping me." Clarke says kneeling across from me. "Where's your mom?" I ask her. "Here." The woman in question says, kneeing next to Clarke.
We roll him to his side and she frowns. "No exit wound. We need to get the bullet out. Quickly." She tells us. Clarke is dragged to stand and I shoot up. "Hey! Let her go." I say eyeing the girl holding her. "Get away from our king." The girl says glaring at Clarke, a sword to her throat. "He is only king because of me. Let her go." I say glaring back at her. "She can save him. But you need to let her." I tell the girl.
She yells at her people to grab him and take him. "Echo stop!" Bellamy yells running up as Marcus stops him. "Echo let her go." Bellamy says calmer now. "Echo. The spy for Azgeda, correct?" I ask and she nods. "I saw you in the city of light. Thank you for that." She tells me and I nod. "I did that for all of us. It wasn't just for my people." I tell her.
"Your people did this to us." She snarls at me. "No. Skaikru did not do this to us. There are things about the city of light none of us knew. I will hold a meeting tomorrow, with Wanheda. We will tell everyone what we have learned." Lexa says joining my side. "Why not today?" Another man asks.
"So we can heal our wounded. And bury our dead." She replies simply. "Echo. He saved the man I love. I owe him this. Let us help him." I tell her. Her eyes shift to Murphy and back to me and I nod. "I saw him with Ontari. She did things. Bad things." She tells me. She tells the men to let us help as my ears ring.
"Wanheda!" Small voices and I turn seeing the younger Natblidas running over. "What are you doing out here? You should not be in the middle of this." I tell them. "An older girl. Your age, came into the room. She was yelling about her birthright. She was trying to attack us. Aden told us to come find you both." Rys rants at me. It's then I realize, the blonde headed boy is not there.
"Rys. Did she have scars here?" I ask pointing along the sides of my face and he nods. "Ontari." I curse. I sprint for the building with Lexa, hearing people following but can't focus. I ignore the elevator, knowing it would take longer and sprint up the stairs to where I knew the Natblidas were hidden.
I burst in seeing them in a sword fight. "Aden duck!" I yell pulling out a knife. He ducks and I throw the knife hitting her shoulder. She drops the sword in her hand, groaning in pain. Lexa charges at her as I run over to Aden. I pull him back to the door as Lexa completely destroys Ontari.
"No one, hurts my novitiates." Lexa snarls at her, before killing her. I turn looking at Aden as she turns as well. "Are you injured?" I ask him. "A few cuts. Maybe bruises. I'm fine besides that." He tells me. "Are you sure?" Lexa asks joining my side. "Yes Heda. Are the others okay?" He asks curiously.
"They're just fine. They found us quickly." I tell him softly. "Arty. Clarke and Abby are asking for you." Murphy says from the doorway. I nod and Lexa gives me a nod as she turns talking to Aden. I follow him out and into the room Roan was in, Abby and Clarke working on him. "What's going on?" I ask them.
"We figured when he wakes up, someone besides us should be here. It's my fault he got shot." Clarke tells me. "He's waking up?" I ask curiously. "He will be. We got the bullet out. It was the only thing keeping him unconscious." She tells me. I nod as Echo comes in with warriors behind her. "I'd stop there if I was you." I tell her with a glare.
"They were trying to kill him." She snarls. "They actually just saved his life. The bullet was keeping him unconscious and they took it out." I tell her and she scoffs. A cough and rasp behind me proves my point. "My king." She mutters bowing her head. He sits up holding his chest as he looks up, squinting.
"What the hell happened?" He rasps. "You got shot trying to help me." Clarke says with a guilty look. "Wanheda. Pleasure as always." He says seeing me. "ALIE is gone. Lexa and myself destroyed her." I tell him and he nods his head. "Good. She sounded like a bitch. Did I use that phrase right?" He asks and I laugh.
"Yeah. You did. I figured I owed you. Saving your life and all. You sent Murphy back to me." I tell him. "I didn't feel like going to war with you. I've seen you fight. And fought you myself." He chuckles before grimacing. "You'll need to take it easy a day or two. I know you're too stubborn to go longer than that." I tell him and he nods.
"We're holding a meeting tomorrow. About things we learned from ALIE. I already have someone verifying the realty of it. It's not good." I tell him quieter. He scans my face and nods his head. "Where's Ontari?" He asks me. "Dead. She just attempted to attack the training Natblidas. Lexa killed her." I tell him.
He closes his eyes, shaking his head. "She was going on about her birthright, trying to attack them. The oldest of them sent them to find me and Lexa. He held her off until we got there." I explain further. "I'll have to talk with her later. Give her my own apology." He mutters, not seeming happy about that.
"I'm sure just not being an asshole will help as well." I say with a small smirk. He sends me a glare and I chuckle. "I'll be going. Remember. Take it easy at least a day or two." I tell him as I head for the doors. He grunts a noise at me as I walk out with Abby, Clarke, and Murphy. "What do we not know yet?" Abby asks me.
"You'll find out tomorrow. You're not special." I tell her as I keep walking. I spot Marcus and smile jogging over to him. "Hey. You doing okay, dad?" I ask him and he smiles down at me. "I'm alright sweetheart. How are you?" He asks me curiously. "I'm alright. It was a lot. But me and Lexa handled it." I tell him with a smile.
"I'm glad you have her for support. You two are a good team together. Fierce." He tells me and I chuckle. "She's my Sorella." I say and he raises a brow. "Will you ever tell me what that means?" He asks and I laugh. "Not a chance." I tease elbowing him as we walk past. For now, we help the wounded.
Tomorrow?
We go public.
